Damned straight. I'm friends with Tre Hardson from Pharcyde. One of the nicest guys you could meet. I had him come in and DJ when I used to work at Dot's Cafe.
Wrong. So very very wrong. Here is a vid of De La back in the day. Fun to watch. This was when rap was just starting and kids were taking in directions yet unknown. Then when you mix in Public Enemy's first couple of albums... Mind fucking blowing.
But I did listen to them in college, lol. Wore about a couple of copies of Paul's Boutique also. That was the shit when it first came out. Changed the entire record industry because of all the sampling. Fucking loved Jane's Addiction. Saw them in concert at University of Portland. I wonder why they don't do concerts there anymore?
I thought Filipinos were really into Air Supply, Lionel Richie and the Eagles playing Hotel California?
I remember seeing Blues Traveler in a large conference room at the Eugene Hilton. They played Crystal Flame, which is a slow build jam. They ripped it, crowd went nuts. Then some of the El Prez type decide there needed to be a most pit. Except there was these things called folding chairs that people were suppose to be sitting on but who sits at a concert? Anyway chairs start flying, people dancing, fighting.... and we now have a riot. And in the middle of the chaos a certain drunk PokerDog ended up with the bottom tier of the large crystal chandelier that hung in the lobby of the Hilton. Studio version - in concert version (from a different concert, haven't watched this because I'm watching the Blazer game, lol. Might suck)
LOYOLA MARYMOUNT YO. Listening to Theo, the Baka Boyz and the Beat Junkies...shit was mad dope. 92.3 the beat and power 106.
Ahhhh.... Jesuit high school and Jesuit college. That explains why you're so repressed. NoPo Holy Redeemer, bitch!
