He's got a cool name, killer hair and can dunk garage thrown at the rim.

He can possibly be the same player for a few more years and then he's going to go downhill. He's the boat.

Nurk is the real mystery box, he can be anything in three years. This time you keep the mystery box.

Getting DeAndre Jordan would be the definition of making a move just to make a move.

Neil’s way of conning the fans and maybe his players as well. Hey look guys! Got you a Star!!

agree. It's all there behind door #27. I don't see it ending up as the donkey.

    Funny post.

If prime CP3, a top 3 PF in the league with a ton of upside, prime DJ, and a bunch of vets joining for the min don't get you past the second round.
Then there is zero chance Lillard, CJ, a declining DJ and Portland's role players get you past the second round.

I also don’t understand this take of “we can’t wait for Nurkic to develop, we have to win now while Dame and CJ are in their prime!”

What the fuck? First off we’re never getting past the warriors (definitely not with Jordan either) and once Dame’s (don’t care about CJ) window closes, wouldn’t we need other players to build around? Why would you give up on a talent like Nurkic who could be a future building block?

If any fan ran this team we would never make a trade to go all in. They would be to busy saying we can't beat this team , we can't beat that team. Keep the team young and develop.

Like there's a choice though? When players tell their agents they want to play here.....then you become San Antonio...we have 3/5s of a starting core and a couple decent bench players....guys like David West didn't take huge paycuts to play here...they went to Golden State..our franchise player bolted for San Antonio....Stotts actually has done a decent job winning games with what he's had to adjust to since he got here...Boston doesn't have this problem...never has really other than a few bad seasons

Bullshit, I just don't trade a 23 year old Center with a ton of upside. Who will be a RFA..
For a nearly 30 year old Center who is clearly declining.

Developing the core is the way to go here. There is no "All IN" available right now that makes a difference, unless LeBron can be acquired, and would agree to an extension. That ain't happening.

But inconsistent Nurk is still better than consistent Jordan.

    Nurkic the past month:

    13.8 points, 9.1 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.3 blocks 52.4 FG%, 2.1 turnovers, 76.7 FT%.

Compared to last year with Portland his turnovers are down as are his fouls. Let the guy develop.

He’d be even better if he wasn’t relied on so much offensively. His efficiency goes up when his usage goes down. That’s on Olshey.

Or maybe if he had a PF playing the weak side that he could drop bunny passes to when the defense commits to him. Or a SF who knows how to make nice cuts behind the defense. You know, like we saw with Vonleh and Harkless last season? But instead he has Aminu camped out on the 3-point line and Turner doing fuck-all.

    Exhale...

    1) All this debate about a Center who at best would be a sideways move, when WE ARE BLEEDING AT THE SF POSITION doesn't make sense to me.

    2) If we can get DJ without giving up a 1st rounder, Collins, or out big 3 (yes, including Nurk), then I'd consider it.
We do need to concentrate our talent.

    3) This is probably just a stunt by Jordan's agent.

    4) In the stupid Bill Simmons trade, I'd literally rather have any player the other teams are getting. I'd rather
have Love than DJ. I'd rather have Batum than DJ, and I'd rather have Dwight Howard than DJ.

    5) After the 15 seconds you've taken to read this post.... WE ARE BLEEDING AT THE SF POSITION.

I would also put our first up for sale. Not to dump contracts, but to improve.
