Agreed. Only use the floor camera for replays. Not live feeds. Keep that simple with the half court elevated camera that sweeps from hoop to hoop for live play. That is the best way to see off ball action. not sure it has anything to do with egos though? Cant gauge fan reaction without trying right?
We should just sim every game in 2k. So much easier. Nobody gets hurt. No refs fucking us over. Easy mode.
I don't seem to have a problem with the angles as much as the fake crowd noise. But it was pretty obvious the crowd noise to an extent is needed to bring at least a little life to the production. I did notice they started getting it timed a little better. Maybe the camera angles and content they provide will improve as the season progresses also? A work in progress like the team itself.
Wait til you hear the Staples Center crowd noise...... BRUTAL! Sounds like a fan or you are on an airplane! Never changes!
They do it through home team free throws? I watched the Clippers game and some of the Mavs game but don't remember. You can either remind me or I'll wait an hour and a half.
Oh and will someone please let me know when HCP changes his Avatar? I'M turning them off until then. I cant look at that Laker ring any more.
Craziest part about that is laker fans are generally the quietest fans around for the first half. A bunch don't show up until the game starts and they rarely are into the game during the first quarter. Staples gets going like any other during a good game but i have seen a bunch of games they sit on their hands or are on their phones.
It's not fans cheering......and it doesn't ever change. Like get loud or quiet. It's this constant noise. like and old football video game.
It's like some super fucking loud ASMR shit. Kind of like that screaming whisper that we all try to make to imitate a cheering croud.
For what? If teams arent drawing fans cuz of a poor product thats one thing, but we all know why the stands are empty now. Why hide it? The best arena to handle this has been Brooklyn. Their lighting has been bubble-esque if not better, without the gimmicks.
That is what i was meaning by bringing Life to the production. If all you hear is the screech of sneakers on the court it might get a bit old.
Knowing it and seeing it are two different things. The Bubble courts were made to look as small and intimate as possible. The Moda's upper bowl is lights out and the lower seats are covered up. If you don't see all the empty seats, and you hear something sorta crowd noise-ish, it's much easier to forget that the games aren't normal. Changing up camera angles routinely, and keeping the camera down low more often, both contribute to that.
