What a guy. We were so lucky to have the epitome of class, professionalism and kindness here for so long. Yes it hurt our team's ability to win and no Dame and CJ were never a good match for each other but when he's the biggest national basketball pundit or the next Michael Strahan and he's repping our team because you know he will, we'll be proud that he was such a big part of our team's history. I'm glad the basketball player on the court is gone and I wish he'd been gone a lot sooner but it's heartbreaking that the person is no longer on the team.
God, how can you not root for GO dude had everything in front of him and when he played he showed why he was considered the best big man prospect since Tim Duncan. That guy got a real bum deal and I know he's had some issues since going through a career being taken from him but I root for him every day, he was a Blazer and he would have been a great one. I hope being an assistant coach becomes something more for him and I hope he's living within his means because he was a good kid and if his dreams hadn't been taken from him I'm pretty damn sure he would've been an excellent man and Blazers great.
okay. Im onto them. Slys privy to my wifey role in my bedroom. Knows my love for cats. Homer obviously has you on lockdown. im smelling a conspiracy against cat lovers here. Some serious James Bond style, SLY! style, level monitoring going on. And i thought big brother would be government run!!!!
As some folks have commented, It's been "Dame and CJ" so long ... I'm fine with putting them in the rafters together.
Class Act CJ: At the end of the day, when I look back on it all, it’s crazy how far we came as a franchise. In a smaller market, way up in the corner of the West Coast, we made a whole lot of noise. We made a whole lot of memories. We stayed loyal. We represented this city with integrity, every day. I’ll always be proud of that. Maybe we didn’t reach our ultimate goal. That’s basketball. That’s life. But dammit if we didn’t try, Jennifer.
Has it not happened yet? If it hasn't happened yet I wouldn't expect it to happen in the future unless a very serious injury makes someone retire while still in Portland.
