The cost to keep Meyers from a financial standpoint isn't much. And is lower than missing out on him breaking out this season and leaving.

But will we have that though? Won't we be over cap?

Regardless, I think we will still hold T. Rob's bird rights right?

I was thinking the same. T.Rob and Leonard haven't shown enough for me to feel they can eat our cap. CJ still has hope, since last season he was injured

I still have questions and concerns with CJ. But he has shown signs. I really hope just continues to improve and improve this. The bench and team needs this to happen.

Quick question, if you don't pick up the options, do you hold their rights at free agent time?

Honestly I'm not a fan of picking up any. Make them all expirings and trade them for someone that can help us now.

    I like t rob, but I wouldn't spend 5 million on him.

I'm off the Cj bandwagon, I think the people's champ is better.

Extending them is the cheapest easiest way to fill out the roster, with the exception of Trob.

salary will go way up in the next couple of years. I'd probably sign them all.

LOL. The Blazers aren't giving up on Meyers or CJ, as some of you would like. And neither would I. I don't know if that means they extend them or wait but it probably means they hedge their bets and extend them for a bargain price. I would. We'll see.

This means T-Rob will be an unrestricted free agent. Which doesn't mean he won't re-sign here in Portland. He will have teams after him willing to pay him more, but most (if not all) of those teams will likely be non playoff fringe teams looking to get to the next level.

I predict T-Rob stays in Portland.

Meyers actually has the potential to be a decent spread 5. He could easily turn out to be a poor mans spencer hawes, hes got the hair for it too.

Meyers is a joke. He has the ability to shoot the ball and be a spread 5 like others mentioned. But what everyone fails to acknowledge is his lack of effort on the defensive end. He is always late for the rebound, never boxes out and is usually always getting beat.

At least Hawes, Frye and other stretch players can fucking box out!

Lack of effort? I couldn't disagree more. He may not do the right thing very well, and usually he's trying to do the wrong thing, but he sure as hell tries hard...

Fuck well that's even more disheartening then! If he's trying hard and sucking this bad, the ship has sunk! I was giving him the benefit of doubt, blaming this on effort.

This only further supports my argument that Leonard is a lost cause

    I'm with Mags.
Nothing against Meyers personally, he's a real nice kid, but he just doesn't get it and it seems like he never will.
