This team without LaMarcus is like having the most beautiful race car without a motor... looks good but it doesn't go anywhere.

I was talking about putting it off a few weeks, BNM, not just a couple. At some point it gets to where even seven weeks isn't enough time to recover and get back into game shape for the playoffs.

Sorry, by a few weeks, I thought you meant something like 2 - 4 weeks, which is why I mentioned CP3 had a full recovery in 7 weeks after postponing the surgery for 4 weeks. The only reason he'd need anything longer is if a graft is required. No way to know exactly if/when that would become necessary. It may not even be necessary if he waits until June.

In theory, he could play right up to the all star break, have the surgery during the break and still be back and fully recovered in time for the playoffs.

He's not putting it off for a couple of weeks, he's putting it off until the end of the season.

    Just sayin'...

Unless he can't continue to play through the pain and be effective - that is the contingency we are discussing. As mentioned, that's what Chris Paul did. He played through the pain for 4 weeks and finally decided to have the surgery, and had a normal 7 week recovery.

But then, CP3 is a whiny pussy, so I'm sure Aldridge has a higher pain threshold.

Besides LA and CP3, are there any other players we know of that have played an extended period of time with this injury? What was their production like?

I'm sure he does have a higher pain threshold. He was Blazers across his chest.
I thought Wes was the heart of the Blazers motor?

It does if he considers the Blazers to be some crazy futuristic half man half machine Steve Austin style where the scientists combined an engine and a heart... The question is do they have a rectum or an exhaust pipe?

Yes, his statement makes total sense if you read the "I thought" and consider the poster.

Can't say I agree, but only because I don't want to accuse anyone of always drinking like a fish (which I would have to do, based on the body of posts).

It could be targeted much like Joel's injured wrist:

IIRC, Chandler received just one tech for that cowardly move.

    *edit* Chandler was tossed.
