No way will Delonte win the most improved, I think David West will win it, he's boosted all of his stats from last season and his scoring has gone from 8ppg (last season) to 16ppg (this season)
ah yes. i forgot about David West. (isnt that weird that one of the only players who might beat delonte is also D. West?) I think Diaw is also going to be a strong contender for it
Hahahahaha, yeah I thought the same thing after I made that post actually. I think you are right though, Diaw will be up there, Raja Bell should be too.
David is having a whale of a year, but if you're to ask me, which you didn't, but here I am, it's gotta be Diaw. The man defines most improved in the way his play has come full circle. The Hawks and their coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves for letting him get away without even trying to harness the ability that he has. Mind you, he's been successful in a system that is meant to highlight lesser talents, but I think Diaw is proving that he's not one of those lesser talents, he's an important player in that system, and probably will continue to be wherever he goes. There are role players on that team that won't amount to anything once they leave there, but Diaw is not one of them. After not even sniffing playing time in Atlanta of all places, he comes to Phoenix and shows why he was such a force in Europe. More power to him, he's got my vote for sure.
from the numbers Diaw appears to be helping his team in many different ways. 12.5 points at a .500 clip is very efficient. Plus hes averaging close to 7 rebounds and close to 6 assists. Think about that. Our leading assist man is Pierce and he doesnt do 6 per game. Theyve got Diaw AND Nash whos close to 11 per game!
David West: (17.0ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.3apg) Points: 918 Rebounds: 415 Assists: 70 Steals: 48 Blocks: 47 Boris Diaw: (12.5ppg, 6.7rpg, 5.8apg) Points: 685 Rebounds: 370 Assists: 319 Steals: 41 Blocks: 62 Ok, I've changed my mind. Boris Diaw should win this award, I was unaware at how good he has been doing this season, especially when last season he was only putting up 4,2,2 a game.
