Maybe so, but if this is true, at least Neil is trying. Maybe Boogie , once able to play, would have flourished with Dame & Co., and re-signed ala PG13 in OKC.

Shouldn’t Zach make it up to averaging like 7 and 5 before we buy into him being a building block...? I’m all for trading players if it makes you better, CJ’s name gets thrown out a lot, and for the right players I would be ok with that.

Well I see three things as being possible:

    1) If Nurk really does take the QO his future here would be in serious doubt. We'd have him here for a year while Cousins makes his way back.

    2) There is still a possibility of a sign-and-trade of Nurk outgoing too. If we traded for Cousins maybe there were some preliminary talks about a Nurkic for Jabari Parker type swap too. If healthy having Parker and Cousins as our 4/5 is pretty interesting if it didn't cost Dame or CJ. It would have been hard to pull off though cap wise though.

    3) Since Cousins isn't supposed to be back for awhile anyway you could re-sign Nurk and then trade one of the two when healthy since at that point it would be around when both would be eligible to be traded anyway.

Look at it this way - would you rather gamble on Collins' potential, or Boogies combination of blown achilles and unpredictable attitude?

To be blunt, I'm not even sold on Collins. If it was only a question of Boogies health *or* his attitude, I would take the plunge. Both of them? I can't talk myself into that!

Lots of 20 year old NBA players have been a heck of a lot better than Zach was this year...
