Politics Democrats have owned this state for decades - what do we have to show for it?

It is your Progressive plan, completely controlled by the Democrats.

 

Wait. So democrats are pretty much in control of this state. Have been for years. And the answer to “our education sucks, we need to fix it” is supposed to come from Republicans? Whyyyyyy do we have our lord and saviors Kate Brown and Kitzhaber and their teams in office?

I would think if I was into politics at the state level, like wanted to be Governor, I would have a handful of issues that are must-haves to focus on and improve. Education, homelessness, public safety, infrastructure to name a few. Literally all of those suck in Oregon. Suuuuckkkk.

Maybe it’s time to change it up?

 

ITS NOT MY JOB. That’s the point. People who choose to make it their job and SUCK at it should be told to leave. I love living in Oregon but for fucks sake our politicians are embarrassing. Literally should be ashamed of themselves. But nope. We just keep on voting them in because the letter next to their name is a “D” not an “R”.

 

Ok. What if the someone you voted for was given years to show progress and didn’t? You vote for Kate Brown this week? Why?

 

And let me be clear too.
I don’t vote Trump. I think the entire current White House sucks. I lean Democrat. I miss the days of having a smart and aware President like Obama. He’s a great man.
But holy shit Oregon. We have riots in downtown and police watching. We have tents everywhere. Our education is 3rd worst. And people keep voting in the same failures. Kate Brown sucks. Period. What’s her plan?

 

How do we know? What did he say or do that leads you to believe it was guaranteed to be worse? We don’t know. He’s a republican? We do know what we get with Brown. She’s proven herself to be inept. Knute is far from my ideal candidate. But sometimes change is needed.

 

If the current point guard is Chris Kaman then yes. Let’s not act like Kate Brown is Lillard in a slump.

 

PERS was created in 1945 by a Republican administration. It was modified in 1970 under Republican governor Tom McCall.

 

I say we start by putting ourselves in the shoes of someone else. I, for one, would not like being referred to as 'boy' or being asked what I'm doing here or 'sorry, you resemble someone else we're looking for", "Did you know you're taillight is out". "Do you mind if I look inside your trunk?" etc., etc.

 

If you got "republicans need to fix this" out of my post, I question your reading comprehension.

The idiocy of this post is that I didn't even vote Democrat in 2016.

I did vote for Kate Brown. Knute Bueler had his sights on cutting my son's healthcare. Easy choice.

1. Did you vote for Knute?

2. Do you know what his plan was for Healthcare and PERS?

3. Without Google, what were those plans?

I'll admit I don't know what Brown's plan for PERS is, but frankly it doesn't fucking effect me at all. I also wonder who the Hell in here it really effects.

I DO know she will protect my son's healthcare.

Knute wanted to cut it.

 

Well, a good start would be to dump the entire Dem party in Oregon, since they created the mess, but there's no easy solution other than slashing huge numbers of administrators, teachers, prohibiting any extraneous expenses such as travel, employee education...and then stand tough the next time negotiations come around.

It will mean forcing a teacher's strike, then replacing them all with new teachers who will accept a less ridiculous retirement package. Like Reagan did with the Air Traffic Control Union.

 

Gravity will take care of it.

When he's done being President I'm going to ask him to run for Governor of Oregon.
