I don't know about the first statement. I don't agree with the second one. The tax, exception, and tradability of players in the new CBA will be things they have to address starting this summer. For example, it wouldn't be shocking for them to lose Bruce Brown for nothing. As I understand it, the new rules apply to existing contracts, they're not grandfathered in.

pray tell who you think has a better shot of winning a few in the next few years?

sorry that I said guys instead of their starters (again) as I try not to be redundant and had already identified who I was speaking about. Since Brown has a player option this summer, it should have been obvious he was not someone I was referring to.

Boston. Could also be a team that hasn't been formed. I suspect player movement is only going to increase. Ultimately, I wouldn't put a significant percentage on any team.

I don't always read (and remember) all the posts, so my bad if you mentioned it was only the starters you were talking about. Regardless, bench depth matters, so losing Brown for nothing would be an example of the CBA impacting Denver's ability to maintain this years success for the next 5ish years.

next year's tax threshold is around 162M. The Apron around 169M. Denver has 169M in guarantees next season with only 10 players. Denver was a taxpayer this season and that was with Jokic on his rookie extension. His super-max starts next season. Denver will have to start worrying about repeater tax but with real chances at another title, they might not worry a lot

Please. The Celtics have major concerns in their frontcourt going forward. Horford will be 37 next season and Williams has a degenerative knee and can't be counted on... dude is 25 and played less then half the season because of the same knee that caused him to slip when he was drafted. I'd place their odds of winning multiple championships over the next 5ish years about the same as them blowing things up. Like Denver they have some stars, but they need to add major pieces, Denver doesn't. It's a team game. Sorry, but you don't get to take the field in answering the question I posed.... I asked for a team.

You asked me to pick a team, so I did. I 100% agree the Celtics have issues moving forward. I wouldn't pick them to win a majority of the titles in the near future either.

The field is the right answer in my opinion. It's better than picking Denver or Boston to win a few titles in the near future. I think we'll be seeing less dynasties moving forward, but I may be wrong.

it always is, which is why it isn't an option to the question of what team is most likely to win. Come on now, you're being silly

I already gave you a team; you even quoted it and made a response, silly!

I gotta think being a championship contender pays for the repeater tax, right?
