So, Melo never wants to miss workouts. I remember, we were at workouts and it was his fiancée’s birthday and he told her, “Hey, it’s a spa day for you, I’ll watch the baby.” So he brings the baby to workouts. In between drills, he’d finish the drill and then the baby would start crying. So Melo would take the baby carriage and walk the baby all the way around the basketball court and the baby would stop crying. And then he’ll come back and do a drill. And then if he has to burp the baby or something, he takes out the burping bag and does what he’s got to do, and then comes right back to the court. But it’s nice because I think no one sees that very good, gentle, kind, humble side of Carmelo and that’s why I’m the first to defend him all the time. People don’t see the ba-zillion nice things that he does.</div>

    Melo's pretty dumb, but he's nowhere near JR's level of being a punk.

    Are you INSANE? why the hell would raps give up Calderon, Rasho, and Bargnani for that pussy? he could only score, he doesnt practice he thinks his the shit but yet is the biggest punk i ever seen, why the hell would raps do that? do you really think BC likes to have that kind of shitty player on his team? The only team that will give up something for Carmelo will be new york!!!
    </div>
    When I read the first sentence, I thought you were being sarcastic, saying that was too little (because it is). Then you backed up your post. And now everyone thinks you're a moron.
    That would be an absolute steal for the RAPTORS
    </div>
    steal for raps? r u kiddin me? raps dont need offense they have enough and thats too little for him? okay his young and can score, can he create for others (Calderon can)? No, Can he defend (Rasho can)?No, Bargnani had a off season because he didnt know execty what position he was playing, jus wait till next yr, neways my whole point is if raps were to trade talent like that for jus offense would b a huge mistake
    </div>
    Can Calderon, Rasho, or Andrea lead a team like Melo? Can any take over the game like Melo? Can any put asses in seats like Melo?
    Jason Collins can defend. I don't think I'll trade him for Melo
    Bernard Robinson had an off year. Maybe he'll play next year, I won't trade him for Melo.

    You'd be crazy to turn down an offer to build around Bosh and Melo.

    lol, I'm the biggest Bargnani supporter on this site and I'd probably jump all over that deal too. Its not that hard to understand why.

    I know why. It's because he came from Syracuse University, and won a championship there. [IMG]

    Agreed. Smith is a dumbass with a horrible basketball IQ. Denver needs to focus on shipping his ass out, not Anthony's.

    They shouldn't trade Melo. For all his problems, in the head and on the court, there's a chance that with a better role model on the team and a better coach he can turn into something great. He's just too young to give up on.

    Iverson is hitting his thirties, Camby (34) is seen as a good player for god knows not what reason.. They should trade away these 2 to teams who are looking for that last piece (ala Shaq and Kidd trades)

    Get some good role players and solid defenders from those trades (I'd jump on any Shane Battier deal in a flash). If Kenyon Martin's knees really are completely healed, and if Nene can finally be healthy, they have a making of a solid team. For example:
    C: Nene to guard the post against bulky guys, and maybe he'll develop(polish) his offensive post moves more.
    PF: Martin as primary defender against combo forwards.
    SF: Carmelo as primary scorer, maybe if he gets his head straight and puts in an effort, a playmaker ala LeBron.
    SG: Solid perimeter defender who can shoot the 3
    PG: An average PG

    You guys aren't looking at the big picture. He still hasn't been past the 1st round, he has the reputation of not showing up in the post season, he's always getting into trouble off the court, he lacks effort at times, etc.....all these ingredients can create a big pot of loser stew........

    I agree, although I've lost a lot of faith in Melo he's too young and too talented to give up on....they should've never traded for iverson..........

    They should trade AI instead of Melo.
