I can't throw away the "Rape Culture" tag as a cultural invention. If women whom I respect say it exists, I sure as hell believe them. While there are cases like the Rolling Stone/Virginia Commonwealth fiasco, the amount of evidence on public record is profound. I try to be objective on the issue, but it is highly politicized any way you look at it.
True, but it started with one. And the reaction at the time was about what some have written here today. The point I'm making is that we don't really know these celebrities. We don't know the woman involved. We can all point to cases where gold diggers cried rape to get a payoff. We can also point to cases where people we "knew" were cool ended up being scumbags. Time will tell the case here and I'm waiting for more info.
It's not necessarily lies, it's defining "sexual assault" down. A rude comment or look is disgusting and inexcusable, but it certainly shouldn't be held at the same level as sexual assault.
Nowadays, a girl regretting a sexual escapade is often viewed as rape. It all comes back to everyone being a special little flower that is so unique and has the perfect life and anything deviating from that gets twisted and warped.

Wrong. Some of these yes. I read between the lines and noted some inconsistencies and some things in her story that lead me to believe she's lying There definitely is a rape culture. I know many females that were raped or alost raped in high school. You'd be suprised. So I broke down what she said and gave my opinion on it and this immature thoughtless reaction is what I get? I don't think you understand what "rape culture" is supposed to mean.. No one is denying that rape happens.
No one's actually thinking about it, they're just bashing each other over rape culture and what they deem to be women hating.
