    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Half Man-Half Amazing:</div><div class="quote_post">LA vs ???? ...

the east is sooooooooooooooo open .. so is the west

the west have only 4 or 5 possibilieties ..

    but the east ?? 11

I think LA will be there .. and hopfully my raptors can shock every budy and do it ... it ain't impossible</div>

The Spurs got took to 6 games in every series, did they not? If Marbury did not hurt his hand, they would have beat the Spurs in my opinion.

The West is very tough, even the 7/8 seeds can make noise.

They are still soft.. plus they lost nick the quick and i dont think jiri welsch is the answer</div>

The Mavs did get better, there is no doubt about that. Fortson has been rebounding and looks healthy, which can be HUGE for the Mavs. They robbed GS in that trade.

No they wouldn't... Spurs were already in control of that series before his injury..and he still played...still it couldn't of been that bad....

Spurs were in control of the series..FACT.do you seriously believe the best team in the NBA last season would lose in the first round? Suns are good but Spurs were better...Spurs all playoffs made the other teams to believe they had were in the hunt but the Spurs always hit back...

The Suns I feel are one more player away from contending...so right now aren't on the same level as the Spurs,Lakers,Mavs,Kings and maybe Wolves....Their center spot is very weak..and the shooting guard spot has a bright future if Joe Johnson keeps improving but if not thats where playing the top teams will hurt them.

Had it in the bag? Nets did better than everyone thought in the finals...Taking 2 games off the Spurs was impressive for them...The west will always beat any east team in the finals for quite a while

just like what ive said in the Nets thread...the Nets can win 2 games in the Finals because they have the talent...and the other 2 games out of luck, determination...and heart...

If you feel that was the Spurs strategy..lol, more power to you.

It may not of been their strategy but they got every team they faced in the playoffs fooled when the series went to 2-2..Every time Spurs lost they would play even better by fighting back ...Seems even after getting the first seed, winning 60 games and winning the title Spurs continue to get no respect.

Why listen to these moron youths? All that matters is what you and experts think, and in that case the Spurs get all the respect in the world. The Spurs were also lucky that the injury bug did not affect them like it did other teams (Mavs, Kings)

But the Spurs did not play great basketball, just better and more injury free than any other team. They did not blow anybody away by any means.

    The Spurs are great champions.

Injuries are part of the game and what happened to Webber was bad..and the Kings would of been tough with him but Spurs likely would of beaten them in a series....Dirk got injuried but the Spurs were ahead in that series and would of won it regardless of his injury...Injuries are part of the game and Spurs have players that aren't injury prone...Webber is and it seems so is Dirk lately.Spurs and Lakers are the two best teams in this league they have proved it the last 5 seasons by winning the titles...Spurs have the deepest team in the league and right now the best player in the league...Just seems they don't get enough respect from fans and the media..Oh well...

It is because they are "boring" to watch. In the playoffs, the Spurs did not play like the Spurs team that played from the new year till playoff time. They needed scoring help, which they got. They will need to shoot FT's better or a healthy top West team would beat them.

Ok, you can say "I don't think so" because I know its coming.

If you like the flashy dunks and highlight plays then yes they are boring...But good team basketball and good post play is not boring to me...No team has an answer for Duncan which always puts Spurs as one of the favourites..The only team who I could see beating the Spurs in a series is the Lakers...no one else...I don't need to explain why the Lakers..their past success says it all
