Don't get me wrong, he's an outstanding defensive player. But they gave it to him purely off reputation. They're were other guys more deserving.</div>then why didnt Bruce Bowen ever get DPOY? Ben Wallace was not only a good defender on this team, he also got alot of the rebounds and was an emotional leader as well. Both him and rasheed. He will not be able to be replaced.

They now have some money to use on MULTIPLE players to help build the depleted bench. Everyone is counting Detroit out of it next year but it's ridiculous....The Bulls won't be able to beat the Pistons next year in the playoffs. The Pistons will start McDyess who will do very well and if they signa few nice FA's like Reggie Evans they won't be in any trouble at all.</div>How in the world can you say DET is in a better shape are you nuts? lolI am sorry, but no way are they in a better shape with out Big Ben. This will be a big hole they will need to fill. I don't think they can win a title now like I thought before if Big Ben have stayed with DET. It will even be hard for them to get to the Eastern Conference finals now.

Prince, Wallace, Billups; great defenders right there. Rip best scoring option, moves good w/o the ball. Wallace can score anywhere. Billups, can score anywhere, and a great ball-handler. dishes out the ball when needed. good leader, he's now the anchor of the team. Ironic, the Heat happen to be #1 this year, Pistons lose their all-star yet they'll be best in the east without him.
