Damnit, I wish Fisher would just pass the ball more often. He's got tunnel vision.

I agree. I just can't believe he can't catch the friggin' basketball...Foyle, that is.

Monty's half court offense is killing us, he really needs to be more flexible and make adjustments rather than being stubborn and sticking with the offense that just doesnt work. Theres got to be a reason why after a full offseason of Monty teaching his offense we are a worse team from last year. We were also playing alot better this season before we got the practice time in December. Down the stretch of last year we were regularly beating playoff calibur teams but this year we arent running and we're losing to bad teams.

We may lose this game, but I hope Diogu will cut down Foyle and Dunleavy's playing time, and play regulary. He really looked like skilled King Kong today...

Agreed, alot of people said he was only scoring well during his first few games becasue he was going against stiffs like Jarron Collins and Greg Ostertag but tonight he was scoring at will on two of the best defensive big men in the league. Conitioning is still a problem with him though, he nearly passed out toward the end of the game. Maybe thats the lack of athleticism that the scouting reports were talking about becasue hes got some good hops and runs the floor pretty decently.

27 points for Ike Dog. Damn! I love the 360 spin, up and under move. Great footwork! Ike really kept the Warriors in the game and got us much needed points in the paint. However, defensively we couldn't stop guys like Rip Hamilton and Maurice Evans. Ben Wallace and Sheed were also playing really well. I also liked Zarko in the game instead of Murphy. Murphy only tries to set himself up for shots whereas Zarko is more inclined to pass. Murphy goes into tunnel vision mode and won't dish off and pass to others underneath the basket.

did anyone else hear the mildly disturbing comment by Barnett, sometime in the 2nd or 3rd quarter about Delfino?

    it went something like.
"Boy talk movie star looks. If he doesn't have it, then I don't know who does?"

fitzgerald imediately started talking and instataneously changed subjects.

i think mike d's got some competition.

Hah, I noticed that too. It was just a little too gay so Fitz had to save the broadcast. I remember the line being even worse than the one you mentioned too, though it was something like that.

Hopefully Cheany isnt out for a long period of time, we dont have any swingmen left on the bench. I wouldnt mind signing a defensive end-of-the-bench guy like Eddie Robinson or George Lynch to a one year deal.

For backup shooting guard, I wonder if Kerry Kittles can still play. I guess anybody but Latrell Sprewell. hehe.

Hey, what about Jay Williams from the Bulls (Duke)?

He hurt something on his hand tonight, Bob and Fitz never reported exactly what it was. My guess is he'll still play but he wont handle the ball and he wont shoot if the injury is on his shooting hand.

When the W's are cookin' they are using the whole roster and pushing the tempo. Playing Baron 40+ minutes means 40 min of him at 3/4 speed. Lately there's been a short bench...and we were not winning. Tonight-again,letting the bench step up nearly got us back in it.
Don't be too hard on fish. Most of this year his game has been much improved, including passing and shot selection. Fish has a good record for last minute stuff....but tonight everyone else knew it was Ike who was unstoppable.

In this game Ike got to be mobile. They had used him in a Dampier style back to the basket post, but that made him stationary, not dynamic and mobile. Ike CAN post up,but he does it off a motion game. Tonight they put him into a role where he could do his stuff. Basically, they put him in an Amare S type role where he got to attack.
I'd be interested in seeing Ike and Andy B on the floor togather sometimes.

Ike's performance really showed how valuable an inside presence can be; sadly, an inside presence is probably more valuable than Murphy's overall game, as spectacular as it has been. Some have proposed starting Murphy at C and Ike at PF, but that would just be a disservice to Murphy as he would just get murdered defensively. Ike at C would probably result in the same (defensively).

We must trade Foyle and/or Murphy. We're not going to get anything for Dunleavy, unless Jim Barnett is the GM of the opposing team. Hey, how about Primoz Brezec?

Trade Foyle for Kaman! Kaman can score more than Foyle, rebound more, and block more shots. Today Kaman got 22 pts and 22 reb.

A trade within the same conference will never happen...nice thought though.

Lol. I think you just explained why that trade won't happen...

I am hoping that maybe Monta Ellis will get his chance soon to shine. I have little doubt that he couldn't put up a good performance too, if given the chance, especially since he would at first surprise a lot of opponents, I think. I am hoping for this because Baron playing 40 minutes per night isn't great all the time. And maybe Monta could sometimes be a good alternative to Fisher, or maybe play together with Fisher and become an interesting duo in the back court off the bench. And since Pietrus is out, maybe.

I don't know, but I think a second unit of Ellis, Fisher, Dunleavy(Pietrus), Diogu, Zarko(or Andris) would be very interesting.

Ok yes, my random thought for the moment. But my thinking is that Diogu probably got a lot of his chances because the Pistons were probably focused highly on Baron and JRich, and didn't think about Diogu. I think this is one of the things that propels Pietrus' offensive game quite often. And I am thinking that maybe the same could be done for Ellis, especially since he has many skills offensively. The Ellis to Diogu rookie tandom, could be energizing for the team, especially Baron and Jason; that is if they had that chance-even just for maybe 5 minutes during a game.
