But did they all go shake their hands? That's what's most important.

Out on the court, before and after every single game. Because, if Canzano didn't see it, it didn't happen.

So does Lillard still need to get the Blazers to the finals to unseat Porter as the Blazers best PG?

    UHHHH no.

Porter was on maybe the best squad this team has seen, but I dont think he was the best PG ever even before Lillard. Ainge wasnt here long but I think he was a better overall point guard during his career. I don't know if stats back me up or not, but Im a huge Ainge fan so I might be a bit homered out. I think he had a better career and was a better PG than Porter.

That is until this O dude showed up into town.

Ummm... no, and it's not close. Ainge was a combo guard who spend most of his career paying SG. I won't go into all the stats, but these should be enough to show you how much better Porter was:

    Terry Porter:
    Career Points = 15,586
    Career Assists = 7160
    Career PER = 17.2

    Danny Ainge:
    Career Points = 11,964
    Career Assists = 4199
    Career PER = 14.7

Ainge only spent two seasons in Portland and didn't start a single game at PG (six total starts as a Blazers, all at SG when Clyde was injured). Porter spent 10 seasons in Portland and started 732 games. Like I said, not close.

Rod Strickland was also a better PG that Danny Ainge, as was Kenny Anderson and Andre Miller. I'll probably get crucified for even suggesting it, but you could also make a case that Damon Stoudamire was a better PG than Danny Ainge (not necessarily a better player).

Don't get me wrong, I loved Ainge when he was a Blazer (not so much everywhere else). The Blazers may very well have gotten swept by the Bulls in 1992 if not for Ainge's spirited play in Game 2, but he's just not in the same class as Porter as a PG, a player and certainly not as a Blazer.

uh, Rod Strickland is the Blazers best PG. By quite a margin. Although Dave Twardzik served the Blazer well too. When he come in and ran the team as a PG, it was a complete change up
from the Highpost center offense controlled by Walton. A serious change up and done exceptionally well by Twardzik. Not a starter but a heavy contributor in a Championship.

Hey Slow your roll(role) I had an asterisk and stated it could be my homerism!

Lol. Nah you are right I see. Fair enough. Can always count on you for the numbers. :)
I'm still keeping my Danny Ainge Baseball Card in a protective sleeve though. Right next to his rookie card.

Leadership? Hogwash! Basic Psychology of Learning says this is disastrously counter-productive.

This is the same weak kneed socialist crap that's destroying the rest of Oregon. Competition and Capitalism operate on the principle of effort = reward.

You learn nothing at all in competition if you do not reap the rewards of your accomplishments.

Being coerced by your team "leader" into giving it away will program you to think not only does he not value your contribution to success but will steal your victory in the end.

As for the Blazers support staff, they already have their dream jobs, and if they have any effect on the team's poor record probably don't deserve a bonus at all anyway.
