I stick with my home team (rockets) i dont care if they lose i still root for them, and i dont care if mcgrady gets traded for the weakest player in the nba i would still root for the rockets, if rockets had a 0-82 record i would still root for the rockets. Also i like players of my nationality for ex. Stojakovic,Divac,Radmanovic etc. i dont just be like ok my team sucks im going to start liking the lakers oh no shaq is gone im going to start liking the heat oh no dwayne wade got injured im going to start liking the sixers iverson is gone my favorite team is the suns. Liking a team jus cuz of a player is retarded.
I'll always support my team over any other. But there are a number of teams I'd like to see do well, just because I'm fans of some of their star players. Like the Cavs and the Sonics. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
My favorite player was tmac back when he was in orlando. I live in houston and rooted for him. But ever since he came here, ironicly, i cheered for both the team as a whole and tmac. but if dirk left mavs, i wouldnt see mavs the same way. just the way mj left the bulls or vc left the raps.
