    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting illmatic:</div><div class="quote_post">man, what a game.

I hate how when you're at the game, you're not aware of injuries and stuff like that, I was trying to figure out why Kobe didn't play the 4th until like 7 minutes in.

Me and my friend started a chant "MVP, MVP" in the 3rd quarter, and man we got the whole staples center shouting it, I'm positive Kobe heard it. But then I asked my girl if she could hear it when she was watching the game on TV and she said she didn't, so that sucks. Did anyone happen to hear it?

But, It's nice to let Kobe know, that even though he was struggling a little bit, we got his back no matter what, and with that confidence he was able to knock down 3 in a row down the stretch.

That dunk LeBron made right before the Half made me FURIOUS. Once again, we weren't able to get the final shot in, and just like Kobe mentioned before, he wasn't about to let any player come to LA and Staple's Center and do no "pretty" or "cute" moves, but then what happens? LeBron does a highlight dunk. Looking at the highlights of the game when I got home, I must admit that dunk was pretty sick.

Kobe's defense tonight was GREAT. Anyone else notice how only one or so of LeBron's shots were over Kobe? All his baskets were either off a screen or on fast break. Kobe's defense cannot be penetrated, just ask LeBron.

    Difference between Kobe and LeBron:

    1. Clutch shots - Kobe
    2. Free Throws - Kobe: 8/8, LeBron: 4/9
    3. Defense

Those are just a few differences, that I noticed tonight. Kobe of course is a seasoned Vet while LeBron is still a rook.

And Finally.......HATS off to Lamar Odom! What an amazing game, I was so upset that he couldn't get that 10th assist for his triple double, but definitely his best game as a Laker, he really was the difference in this game.

I also enjoyed Kobe's post game comments (saw it when I got home) I think he shut up a lot of haters tonight.

And what the hell is Charles Barkley's problem? This dude is what you call a H-A-T-E-R Give the man his damn props, jackass.</div>

I did hear a section of the crowd start chanting M-V-P when Kobe was taking a free throw. Don't know if it was you guys or not..

I have to give props to Kobe his d and especially those clutch shots were amazing. Right now, I think i'll admit for the first time that Kobe does have an edge over lebron. But give Lebron time he's 21 and it his 3rd season he''ll get there.

Kobe' shot was Jordan like clutch shot. He was cover from fingers to toes by Lebron and he still made the shot......I flash back to Jordan when Marv Albert announced the play......"Kobe Bryant with the shot.......YESSS!" And then Quen Labron chocked at the end missing a free throw and a winning shot.

Fiyah, hell yes, that's great, yeah that was us. That was the only time we could get the MVP chant going, it was too loud other times.

Until the end of the 4th, it was really tough. Out of all the days I get to go the Laker games, Kobe had only scored like 18 or so at that time, but ya everytime he went to the free throw line I got the MVP chant going to let him know we still got his back.

Man, that offensive rebound on LeBron's second free throw reallllllly brought everyone down in terms of energy. We went from the Kobe shot cheering our ass off, to that. Up by 1, 5 secs left, and they have the ball.

It seemed like that's our season has been the whole year. We lose to a last second shot.

But, instead, the best situation possible happened in the game.

Kobe scores the last 3 clutch shots. He guards LeBron on the last play, LeBron chokes, Laker's win.

Couldn't have played out any better in my opinion, one hell ova a game, thank you god for making LeBron miss, that woulda sucked sooooooo bad should he have made it.

We needed this victory as a Team, we were desperate for it. If it meant losing to Portland to beat Cleveland, then I'll take it.

Good news, I was wandering around some Cavalier forums on some other websites, A LOT of cavs fans are showing respect to Kobe, calling him the clutchest since Jordan, they keep bringing up the Killer instinct, etc etc

I'm glad to see Kobe his finally getting some recognition for his skills and what he can do from the opposing team/fans.

I watched the whole game and I was impressed that Kobe came through when it was most important. Props to Kobe, especialy after he struggled throughout the 2nd half yet still had the confidence to take those kinda shots and pull through.

Lebron scores about 10 points a game on the break. These guys are in the NBA, yet I don't know why they are so stupid. You're on defense on a 2 or 3 on 1, the other team is probably going to score. What I don't get, is why not just let the guy (snow, Hughes or whoever) get the layup, and cover Lebron. The team is going to score regardless, so why give it up on a dunk? All it does is give the other team momentum. Sometimes these guys are completely idiotic.

You talk as if you could do better...maybe cuz the #1 rule of a fast break is to stop the ball. So you want the defender to pretty much give up and get out of the way?? Thats not something I would incourage if I was an NBA coach..even if they dunk it at least you tried to defend to the best of your abilities, sometimes they get the dunk & sometimes you get the turnover on them.[IMG]

They should defend the fast break to the best of their ability...never give up...cause any type of defense will pressure the other guys to either throw a bad pass, fumble the ball, or miss the layup...all you need is the effort....so i DO NOT agree with just guarding LeBron on the fastbreak...I think you should guard ball and pass....
