    The person patting the head was described as having dementia. This says to me that the pat might have been repeatedly excessive. One would really need to know more before deciding if the strain was legitimate or not.

    No, the person who accosted the 18-year-old in the Donald Duck costume had dementia. The person who patted Mickey's head was perfectly fine, and was simply trying to get her grandchild to not fear the costumed character.

    Blaming the alleged neck injury on one person patting the head feels ridiculous to me. Seems much more likely to me that the employee was going to file a worker's comp claim, and Disney searched park security footage to find a guest they could blame.
