If you know anything about basketball, and I'm pretty sure you do, you know Vince had a great season in '05/'06.

So I've thought about your post a couple of days, but face it: that comparision really didn't make any sense at all. Please don't ask me to explain why.

Comparing Chris Bosh to Vincanity was just retarded. I suggest committing suicide.Anyway, I'm not one of those fans who sucks their fav. player's dick all day and praises him; I'm a big time VC fan, but not as big as you may think. I believe Vince Carter can lead a team to the playoffs and, maybe by next season, to the Eastern Conference Finals. He did lead Toronto to the Eastern Conference Finals, didn't he? Remember that, don't you? Vince Carter and Allen Iverson facing off. A.I dropped 54 points in one game; two nights later, Vince Carter dropped 50 points, along with 8 three-pointers in a row! Now, it might be fate, but VC has had a pretty bad career. He's done things to entertain us all; he won the 2000 Olympic Gold Medal and was the highest scorer on that team as well. However, he hasn't become an MVP candidate nor an All-NBA 1st Team selection. I root for him every game, but you never know how VC will perform. Sometimes he'll hit 30 points, but in other nights, he'll be lucky to get 15. You never know.I do believe that VC can lead a team to victory, but not at all times. He has his great nights, his good nights, and his down right bad nights... but who doesn't?Anyway, about this divorce matter, I hope it all turns out for the best. I read about it a couple of weeks ago.

Um, that famous AI vs. VC showdown was in the second round, not in the ECF... Carter has never made it passed the second round.

Oh no...this cant happen. After the Nets made the finals a few years back, they've been disappointing...and now Carter came and made NJ exciting again and I love watching their games...I'll be so mad if he has to leave because of non-basketball problems [IMG]

I'd go back and edit it, but I'm too lazy.BTW, I have a book, titled <you>NBA's Greatest</you> and there is no author name, so I'm assuming it was written by several authors. Anyway, it lists (in the authors' opinions) the greatest players, coaches, teams, moments, duels, and games in league history. Here's what they put about A.I v.s VC:ONE FOR THE AGESIverson v.s CarterIt was a marqueee matchup: Allen Iverson v.s Vince Carter. The stakes: the 2001 Easterm Conference Semifinals. In Game 2, Iverson went on a tear and scored 54 points, including 19 consecutive to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 97-92 victory. "I always feel the only person who can stop me is myself," said a confident Iverson after the game. Two nights later, Carter felt pretty unstoppable himself and responded with a show-stopping performance of his own as he made his first eight three-pointers en route to a 50-point performance, leading Toronto Raptors to a 107-82 Game 3 victory. Why were these classic performances? It was the first time in the history of the playoffs that two players on opposing teams scored 50 or more points in consecutive games.

That truly was an unforgettable series... but it was the beginning of the end for VC in Toronto. He never was the same with the Raptors after he attended his graduation on the morning of Game 7 in that series.

You can't blame VC. I would have gone to my graduation, too. It's just awkward knowing that the most important game of his Toronto career was on the same day as his college graduation. However, you can't blame him. I understand what he went for. After retiring from the NBA, where will his income come from? I'm sure VC will retire around the ages of 35-38. When he does, do you expect him to sit on his ass all day? I don't mean to seem like I'm defending his motives that day, but after retirement, he would have to get another job and that graduation was important. Really, really important. However, I'm positive that VC still wakes up at night, sweaty and all, wondering whether or not he had made a mistake by not playing Game 7. It could have made a difference...

I wasn't trying to imply that I felt he made the wrong decision by attending his graduation, because quite frankly I would have done that as well. I was simply pointing out that that day was the beginning of the end for him in Toronto.
