What scares me about the road trip isn't the opponents but the fact that we play 5 games in 7h nights at one point. Things didn't go well the last time we had to do that. I will be going to some of those games. Boston, Philly, and Brooklyn are nearby and I have a car.
I voted with the majority. If we can't win road games, we can't win a series. We have a shitty road record (11-22?)
Should the title of this thread more appropriately be changed to Should the Blazers make the playoffs?
I just don't see them making it. On top of that it's looking like playing the games with the fans would be a mistake at this point. Perfect season to cancel in my book.
I think there should be one more minor set back on Nurks return. Keep Collins off the court and take a stab at the Lottery. Oh and Whiteside needs to go. He is clueless. One of the leagues better defenders and a high bbiq in Ariza is getting frustrated with White side. Not sure if I've sewn a player put such good numbers up so consistently and yet have. O clue on how to win. he wont like coming off the bench so we should wither do a sign and trade if possible or just let him walk and go for a backup big in the draft or market. I also think we have seen the best of Melo and i no longer want him back next year. he looked slow aNd gassed all night tonight. He wont be able to go a full season and into the playoffs at a high level. If he comes back for the vet min to ride the bench and be a weapon in the playoffs, then I'm okay with it, but thats it.
i want to get excited about next year. As cool as it will be to have Nurk back, i dont beleive he will come in and be an immediate difference maker. But if i see the team start planning for a full on run next season, im gonna get really excited. i know every year this is said, but next year is our year.
Yeah they just lost to both the Suns and Hawks. Had a tough time putting away the Wiz. Do we think the Kings are gonna be a cake walk? These are all teams a Playoff team walks over. Unfortunately this year the Blazers are the team getting walked on.
Grizzlies up 18 on Hawks already. Hawks have been on fire at home (as we know too well), but on the road they've been god awful. Worst in the league.
Does anyone remember during the preseason when the team thought that they could be championship contenders.... Yah, that didn't age well. And before anyone says 'but we had injuries'.... so has everyone else. We've really only 'lost' Zach & Hood. They're good players, but losing those two don't drop the Blazers from contending to out of the playoffs.
