Hearing stories on him has me immediately think no. But chasing DeAndre last year, and cousins, makes me feel that nurk isnt viewed as the long term answer potentially by our team, so maybe dwight is a 1 year stop gap to collins?
I can’t wait for Dwight to be signed somewhere else and have Olshey leak that he tried to get him but the deal fell through.
I'll make the prediction right now: Nurk has already decided to leave. If he was good enough to have trade value as a one year rental, he would be traded. After his play-off performance, his trade value is roughly 2 second rounders...so the Blazers may well opt to just keep him. So, the question then becomes whether he plays his best to improve his value, or he intentionally poops the bed to force the Blazers to move him.
Happy players don't take the QO. Either the Blazers made a low-ball offer, or they made a fair offer and he turned it down.
People who don't want Stotts around should want Howard...he's a coach killer...people who want Olshey gone should want Meyers playing big minutes...
Naw. I think Olshey probably looks at it like this: "I offered him a rich, long term contract and he turned it down. He probably wants too much, let's..." 1) see what he can get in restricted free agency, and match. 2) see what else we can get for him.
