Because I do. These recent games man...I've been busting a Rose nut watching him play like his MVP days. Do you think he might have been just saving himself for the post season?
Believe in him? It's not a matter of faith, but this is the best Rose we've seen in a very long time. No reason his improved play shouldn't continue. For the past several seasons, we've known that something close to a fully-functioning DRose would be needed to seriously contend. The problem now is that the team isn't accustomed to playing with Rose at this level...it's a high-class problem and I'll happily live with it. Agree completely with Denny that the Bulls don't win without Rose. Personally, though I don't think Rose needs to dominate Kyrie Irving, he does need to clearly outplay him in the upcoming series. Few in the national media are predicting this and their skepticism is understandable. As always, I choose to be optimistic.
There have been some very encouraging moments with Rose this playoffs. He looks at times like a great NBA basketball player again. Matchups for the upcoming series....
