The Eagles are by far not over rated. I don't think any team wants to play the Eagles. They're a very good football team, they just have Freddie "Dog Shit" Mitchell on their team.

The last two years before we have played them in the playoffs I have had to listen to every "expert" pick them and say how and why the patriots and or anyone can't handle them even when we have a better record and have beaten them during the regular season once already...its a joke...even if they had played the steelers in the divisional game instead of us they would have been handled...their team is not tough enough to play when it counts...all Manning does is shake his head and show up the entire offense in the process. There a great team against weak defenses and thats it....because they are purely one dimensional....therefor overrated when "experts" pick them to walk to the superbowl every year before the playoffs.

Thing about the Colts is, they are flashy and exciting on offense, but flashy and exciting offense without a lick of defense does not win in hte playoffs. You have to wonder though, this year they spent a ton on 32-year old WR Harrison, James had a 8 million dollar franchise tag. I dont think they get it. The only way they get to the Super Bowl, is if they clinch the homefield advantage, so far Manning has not shown that he can win in the cold in January (except the KC game). I picked the Colts to go to the Super Bowl last year, and I think I just might pick them again, with all the losses the Pats have suffered it's hard not to. I guess thats just how the Pats like it, dont they???

Your right..that is exactly how the pats and especially Rodney Harrison likes it...they seem to thrive off even the smallest writer giving them no chance...and somehow even though they keep winning games and superbowls they still play like an underdog. Though I don't agree that we have lost that much...the only loss that could be devistating in Teddy Bruschi...other than that Andruzzi was the only starter we lost and he is a guard and we have proven we can coach lineman seeing 3/5 starters on our line last year were UDFA. Troy Brown played more defense than offense as the season went on and Patten was our third receiver and not worth the money he got from Washington....Ty Law was a great Patriot but still can't walk and we won a superbowl and shut down some real good offenses in the process without him so his loss has already been delt with IMO.

The one incouraging thing I have heard regarding the potential loss of Bruschi for the season or career is that the Pats may consider moving Vrabel inside and playing colvin and McGinest on the outside then maybe drafting a tweener to groom to replace McGinest. Vrabel is basically just like Bruschi, since he started as DE in college, and is definitely smart enough to make all the reads and calls...he has shown his great hands as a receiver and could be just as disruptive in pass coverage as Bruschi. He plays both the run and pass well and I think he could be even better than bruschi when asked to rush the passer from the Middle. I believe that would be there best move for them next season because Bill loves Vet LB's and i don't see us drafting a LB to start right away...and since we have shown no interest in signing a LB then Vrabel must be the answer.

I think Manning is the best in the "No Huddle Offense" because you can't really know what he's thinking with all of those audibles he calls or maybe because of all of the recievers like Marvin Harrison are constantly thrown to randomly.

This playoffs, I was hoping the Pittsburgh Steelers would make it to the playoffs but the chances of that went lower since they beat the Jets by a small margin and Big Ben has lots of pressure as a rookie.

The Eagles are a good team but this year they finish 7 and 9. Losing in the Super Bowl has crushed recent teams and the eagles will not be an exception. They will probally be a strong team once again in 06 but they will not make the playoffs this year

Mainly because of "The Ego." He will bring him down McNabb big time... after the comment he said to McNabb.

I would love to see mcnabb throw it to TO high across the middle the first 5 or 6 passes of the season, until some safety lights up TO and ends his career. I would gain a great deal of respect for Mcnabb if he did that

I say that because the teams losing in the SB always strungle the next year and miss the playoffs in recent history.

Look at Carolina last year, everyone was saying that they were a great team and may win the sb this year

look at Oakland the year before, they go from powerful team to basment team

look at the Rams the year before, they go from one of the greatest teams in the NFC to 7 and 9 with no playoffs

and look at the Gaints the year before that

I'm not saying the eagles don't have a good team but they won't make the playoffs this year

I dont think its not possible the eagles miss the playoffs this year. I know how its gone for the few years, the team loses and falls off. But the Eagles are a different team from all the others, and trust me I hate the eagles so It feels weird saying it. But I think the Eagles of last year are better. I think the Eagles are going to make the NFC championship a few more times, but they will be like the Bills overall. They are an almost complete team.

Did any of those teams go to 3 consective NFC title games the year before. NO. Also the NFC East isn't going to be that hard of a division for Philly. They will be in the playoffs. Unless McNabb goes down, I don't see this team not contending. That is a very superstious arguement.

In a few years though, that division should be tougher. The Eagles need to think future to keep up with the rest of the NFC east.
Seriously, one of those teams is about to make a jump.
