You guys got to make sure we dont take back the Atlantic again. If the Celtics were out, how could you cheer for us?</div>Because we had no chance at anything last season, so what difference does it make whether I hope for Toronto to win or not? Also, it's not like I went out and bought a Chris Bosh jersey and cheered loudly for the Raptors, they are just one of the teams I would have liked to see advance (as well as the Bulls and Rockets). But like I said in my last post in this thread, this year it's a whole different ball game.
It depends...teams like the Warriors or Clippers, sure. They deserve it. Not so much in other sports though because I hate most division rivals. The only time I root for those rivals is in college sports. I just like to see the Pac-10 do well.
In bastketball it differs. Some teams I don't mind some I hate (the Spurs are the current devils). In Soccer though I hate my teams rivals nearly as much as I love my team. I would never support Man Utd in anything.

It's hard to really hate the Raptors, we've never even met in the playoffs. How much animosity can there be?Either The C's have played well while the Raptors sucked or vice versa. Now if the C's and Raps battle for the division this year, then yeah it may get heated.A playoff series will definitely crank up any ill will too.but for this year, the C's were injury plagued and not that good and nowhere near the playoffs.hard to watch the playoffs and not root for someone.Raps were my team in the East.
