Oh, imagine that. High healthcare costs in the United States. Who would’ve ever thought a corrupt medical industry might find an excuse to raise prices. Are Lamborghini prices going to go up too?

I haven’t heard anyone complain about the health problems associated with obesity in this country, and the literal, calculable billions in healthcare costs it creates.

I do see a lot of fast food commercials though.

Glad to see you defending the billionaires though, they need it. When they threaten to raise prices if 100% of people don’t buy a product from them, it’s all in good faith.

Wasn't that Michelle Obama's thing? Getting healthier foods in schools for our kids so they start learning now the importance of eating right?

Yet, a 40 year old marathon runner I used to know died from it.

That's two cases right there. Does that mean 50% of people die from covid-19?

No. Because anecdotal evidence isn't reliable.

Yeah, funny. But pretty sure those would need stay in for more than 30 minutes to have any impact on body fat, would also have an incredibly high mortality rate. Hence that's far more of a commitment than the covid vaccines...

Point being, the vaccine is SUCH a simple and safe solution.

Im not trying to shit on anyone, I have many ‘hefty’ friends and family members who I love and care about. Live your life, food is awesome. I am lucky enough to have a fast metabolism and happen to have a job that runs me ragged burning calories. Other than that I’m a fat dude in a skinny persons body, I’ll go toe to toe with my fat friends on a plate of wings any day.
I was really pointing out that we live in a country with a deeply broken and corrupt healthcare system and the profit margins are made when people are sick and unhealthy. I don’t think it’s really fair to suggest that somehow unvaccinated people are going to be the new downfall of the healthcare industry, and that “we all are gonna have to pay for it”. It’s just not a reality when you look at the number of people who are sick and unhealthy from other causes in this country. To suggest that people not getting vaccinated is going to cause some insane uptick in health problems is just another arm-twisting attempt to coerce vaccination.

First Lady pet projects are just that.

People who aren't vaccinated have filled our emergency rooms to overflowing (largely because the vaccine hadn't been made available yet). That's a huge burden on the healthcare system which a free vaccination and 30 minutes of your time would certainly prevent.

    It's a no brainer.

I'm pretty sure it was a bit more than a pet project.

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...n-school-lunch-michelle-obama-rules-roll-back

The Trump admin rolling back the guidelines demonstrates that.

Now Mrs Trump's Be Best program is more a pet project since there are no regulations to roll back.

(I would say that Mrs Reagan's "Just Say No" campaign while it did fail miserably was much more than a pet project.)

((I would also say that Hillary's "Let's Eat Babies in the Basement of a Pizza Parlor" campaign was much much much more than a pet project.))

But more importantly, I agree with you about the importance of reducing obesity in this country. I do think starting healthier eating practices in kids is one of the more easiest and inexpensive ways to achieve you.

Nothing is ‘free’. The government is paying the pharmaceutical companies massive dividends to hand out these vaccines at ‘no cost’ to the consumer. In reality the money comes from your taxes. I’m sure given your position on the vaccine you are fine with that, which is good. People actually getting something they want with their tax dollars is fine by me. I don’t even have a problem with it myself if it gives people piece of mind and helps at-risk people fight a potentially life threatening disease. But again, the assertion that unvaccinated people are going to make any sort of dent in the unpaid healthcare costs in this country is really just absurd. Using numbers from before there was a vaccine is also pretty disingenuous from a statistical standpoint. Numbers were already going down by the time of the vaccine rollout so it’s really nobody’s position to say vaccines alone are responsible for that. If they helped out, great. But this idea that the pandemic would just go on and on forever without a vaccine is just inaccurate. Historically, scientifically and mathematically.

on the other hand you refusing to get vaccinated is not going to have any impact on pharmacutical companies or the GNP.......get your shot...it's not about money or obesity, it's about opening up the world. For someone who posts over and over about health privacy you seem to bump the covid thread everytime I read here.......I'd say you're more concerned with it than you are letting on but hey......not everybody wears a condom at the brothel because they believe it's just a condom profit scam and AIDS won't kill you! Some people are just always going to have that gambling problem. You should have these conversations with first responders at the emergency room and gain some perspective. The good news is that the two shot vaccine is showing amazing properties when it comes to immune responses to cancer cells and HIV virus....the vaccine is turning out to be a really powerful immune system builder. It's not some Big Brother conspiracy tool, it's an antidote to an invasive virus. As to rules, if I own the brothel...you wear the condom or get the hell out of the place.....why? Any good busineesman will protect his clientele and not want to get shut down because that young guy is a rebel! I'm free now to shop, travel and even go to a Blazer game if I like....better my tax dollars achieve that than build another weapon or satelite

Me, and others who choose not to get vaccinated, decrease demand and lessen future profits for pharma. So yea, it would eventually have an impact on them. And don’t you worry about weapons and satellites, they aren’t going anywhere. How else would those (military AND pharma) contractors pay their future board members who currently hold public office? I’ll make you a deal though, when the last troops are out of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, I’ll go get the vaccine. Maybe.

Curious but your stated reasons for not getting the vaccine are related to not enough time in testing it. If granted full authorization by the appropriate government agencies will you then get the vaccine?

Are you rejected all drugs and vaccines by "big pharma" or just this one vaccine?

In Mexico the vaccine developed by Russia is going to soon be available. That one obviously doesn't support big pharma, would you look into something like that?

And please, as a personal favor to me, keep the cats in the bags. It's where they belong.
