It appears the Miami Dolphins are moving forward with a strategy to replace Daunte Culpepper and Joey Harrington.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>March 15, Miami Herald: Although they might be the top two picks in the April draft, the Dolphins are interested in speaking with quarterbacks JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn, and could bring both to South Florida as part of their annual visits of college players.
    ...
The reason the Dolphins want to talk to both players could be telling: They could be considering a scenario where they trade up to the No. 2 overall pick, where Detroit is listening to offers. The interest also shows Miami's uncertainty over the status of Daunte Culpepper and his future with the team.

The Dolphins have the No. 9 pick in the draft, and have two second-round picks.</div>

The only 2 players the phins should consider trading up for are; Calvin Johnson & Joe Thomas and <u>not</u> Quinn.

If they're willing to give up the 9th pick and both 2nd rounders they'll have their choice of all three at #2.

I'd be very happy with that trade.

Miami would owe more than the #9 and both 2nd's. Therefore, I doubt they trade up. Stand pat or trade down. Ideally, Carolina or St L trade up for the #9 spot.

Why go through all the hassle of the contract negotiation w/ the 2nd overall pick again? It was bad enough w/ Ronnie Brown.
