It is when you're negotiating a nuke treaty with Iran, or with congress over anything.

I don't think so. There is a huge element of horsetrading that is totally absent from poker. And there's very little luck involved, and there is much less opportunity to bluff, since both sides can see all the cards.

It's not really like poker at all, except of course in Donald Trump's fevered imagination.

It's not like poker in yours, it seems.

    LOL

Reagan: when do we start bombing, then made peace with the USSR.

Hillary is not my dream candidate, certainly. But she's pretty middle-of-the-road (probably to a fault). Same as Obama, so you'll probably think she gives voters on the right the middle finger too. Not really sure what you mean by that, other than you disagree politically with him. Did George Bush give voters on the left the middle finger? He certainly did plenty I disagreed with. Cruz is a smart guy, but his politics are really on the extreme end of the republican spectrum. If you really want to give the left the middle finger, elect Cruz. If you can.

Actually according to some studies which you will reject out of hand because they don't support your preconceptions, this isn't true - the Republicans have moved further to the right than the democrats have moved to the left.

Who said that? Certainly not me.

Everytime this guy opens his mouth, I can't help but think of this little gem from 'The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy':

Republicans simply aren't as "right" as you say, barfo. During the W administration, they held the white house and both houses of congress. They didn't ban abortion, they expanded social programs, and they passed the biggest spending bills in history up to that point in time.

Democrats started out way left. They don't have to move so far to be as left as republicans are right. But they did move left from Bill Clinton's centrism and triangulation to Warren and Sanders being darlings of the left. And Obama ran far to the left of Hillary and beat her.

I can't imagine Bill Gates is too happy about being brought up in this whole thing. Do all the Billionaires have each other on speed dial or something?
