    Mel, Big Mac isn't ticketed for anything yet, there's not even a guarantee he's still here in 10 days. I hope he does work out just for the sake of not having blown a top 10 pick, but it's still very much up in the air with him.

    No it's not. You just hate him. He's big, physical, has had a great pre-season and he's right handed with a relic in Boyle who will be gone next year and no right handed defenseman in the system. McIlrath isn't going anywhere.

    What I see is the Rangers trading Halverson eventually, keeping the Russian kid who I think had higher upside. That I can see to add a piece to the system.

    Brady got assigned to Hartford. Good move to give him some time in the AHL.
