RJ on the other hand scores and defends the teams best wing for the majority of the game. sorry, if you watch games you can see that RJ is not just a scorer. sorry

Here are the players that would be one-dimensional Lebron, Melo, Bosh, Shaq, Ray Allen, Nash, Dirk, Amare, and it goes on.

I want to say that Lebron, Bosh, Amare...hell even Shaq previously to this year, can get it done on defense, too. However I also don't want to acknowledge your argument or existence in this thread. hmm....
lebron is terrible on defense. Shaq and Amare don't even try. Look at all these homers, just defending there lovers.

To me, a "one dimensional player" is a one-trick pony. I think you have a different definition of the term (nothing wrong with that at all, though)...because I believe that he can do multiple things: shoot great, run the offense, be a leader, and just take over games. To me, a "one dimensional player" would be someone like...Kyle Korver, Reggie Evans, Salim Stoudamire, etc.
Lebron is a great defender, and is part of what makes him one of the most complete players in the league. I'm a homer? Well I defended Lebron, Bosh, Amare, Shaq... and last time I checked neither player wears a Nets uniform. Let that sink in. Now, at this point any personal attack would be redundant before it would be against the rules, so I'll refrain.
This is a dumb thread, but had to chime in, because there's no way on God's green earth you can call Nash 1-dimensional. He completely changes the complexion of every game he plays in. Opposing defenses have to account for his passing, shooting, and the way he single-freaking-handedly controls the game. The sheer pace he wills on a game is like nothing anyone else in the league can do, except maybe Baron Davis. Anyone claiming he's 1-dimensional has zero understanding of the game. Also, RJ is certainly not 1 dimensional, but his asst., reb, steals, should be higher for a player of his caliber. That would be a true statement. However, when Jason Kidd is on a team, every other player is going to be a bit lower in the rebound, asst., categories, because he accrues a bunch of those. Here endeth the Lesson.
Because he's got the speed and length to stay in front of his defender, the size to keep opposing SF's off the post, and the athleticism to be a good shot blocker. Saying that Dirk is comparable is embarrassing for you.

He's more one-dimensional than Melo this season.</div> Williams and Boone are better rebounders than Krstic/Moore and Collins. The chance for boards go down. As scoring goes up, assists are down too. -Petey
