This guy just consistently prove how big of a liar he is. He complains about anonymous sources for news people but then turns around and uses the word many, and an unnamed General etc in his lies. I had no idea that the United States had no ammunition. lmao!

“When I took over our military, we did not have ammunition,” Trump said. “I was told by a top general, maybe the top of them all, ‘Sir, I’m sorry sir, we don’t have ammunition.’ I said, I will never let that happen to another president.” trump

Here we go with the baseless conspiracy theories. Russia again? Lol Jesus Christ man.

And you’d rather keep troops on the ground for what? Just to spite Trump? You’re delusional. Turn of the MSNBC dude, those people aren’t progressives.

read up. maybe find a map. you dont think it benefits russia to leave? you dont think the US leaving the region, makes it easier for Russia to make sure Syria is continued to be controlled by al-Assad? That it further strengthens its position of power in the middle east? Interesting.

Russia is part of that region, maybe find a map. Maybe those issues should be left to countries in that region, not ones 10,000 miles away.

I don't think I agreed with you on this one. Your statement that the underlying story was baseless is itself baseless. It is entirely possible that Engel has information that you and I don't have.

Reports are that we only had 50 people in the area. That's not getting 'bogged down'.

What those 50 were effectively doing, though, was preventing Turkey from launching an attack on the Kurds. Because killing the Americans would not have been good politics for Turkey.

What Trump did was not so much about recalling troops as it was about giving Turkey permission to kill our allies.

Not sure why you'd like that?

For some reason we just stopped using human shields as a defense...and for some reason they didn't....the Neanderthal strategy

Why should we be policing and dealing with 10K pris
Whatever....I favored Obama pulling out of Iraq knowing a void would be filled, but our mission was done.
50/100? American troops were not put there for never-ending duties. Why cant UN/NATO or other Islamic countries be the buffer?
We have Troops in other areas of the middle east that could react quickly.

Maybe they would have if we'd asked them. But Trump didn't bother to even give them notice of his plans. Even if you wanted to get those 50 guys out, the way he went about it was horrifically stupid.

But what you are missing is the Kurds were serving the role of replacing us in battle. They had vastly more men there than we did. And when Turkey wipes them out, we've not only lost our allies, but we've probably lost the ability to ask anyone else to fight in place of us.

React quickly to what? I thought you didn't want our troops 'reacting' to things over there?

I never said I didn't want our troops reacting to things over there. Please be accurate when you are correcting me. I don't want us getting caught up or bogged down.
Sure we still have a presence in the middle east don't we?
The Kurds are everywhere in that region, Iraq, Iran, Syria, & Turkey.
I dont want anyone slaughtered for any reason. I think there is a buffer zone to accommodate Syrian refugees and hopefully Kurds. The Turks and Kurds have also fought together against ISIL.
At some point these Muslim countries need to step up and address all the civil war and infighting within their own regions. Thats my opinion, but probably not yours right?

The Kurds are the largest ethnic minority in Turkey. ... There are Kurds living in various provinces of Turkey, but they are primarily concentrated in the east and southeast of the country, within the region viewed by Kurds as Turkish Kurdistan.
Where are the other nations that could assist as the buffer/insurance that the Kurds wont get slaughtered?
I had strong feelings about leaving Iraq knowing there would be another insurgency happening, same with Afghanistan.

I'm sorry if I misrepresented what you were saying. It wasn't clear to me what you meant.
Is your idea rather than using our military to prevent violence, we should stand off and wait for it to happen, and then swoop in?
For instance, should we withdraw troops from S. Korea and wait till Kim Jong Un launches an attack? We'd still have lots of troops in Japan who could react.
Just trying to understand the Hoopguru Doctrine, not trying to put words in your mouth.

It would be great if they solved their own problems, peacefully. I'm not sure if that's a realistic thought, but I agree with you it would be optimal.

Yeah, you guys amaze me! Ready to sign up the troop to stay in hell for eternity. Man you know this is a new take for Dems, Libs, Progs, or what every the hell you hail by.
The only reason you are doing it is because Trump said, bring them home. WTF? Mindless.

I am glad Trump did it! Look! It has the eyes of the world on Turkey to see if they really will do atrocious things and garner the wrath of the world on them!!!
Much better than our guy staying there as friggin targets pretending to be Occupiers.

But, they are not out of there yet. We shall see if you end up with it your way.

It’s funny that people think Trump has the best intentions and has really thought this through. He’s being played, like usual.
