Exactly. The game thread is to discuss specific plays in a specific game. The rotation goes beyond one game.
That is really the point, it goes well beyond this single game and is something we should be observing in the next several. I like Nate, but he seems very slow in not seeing what combos are working and what aren't IMO. After the 2nd unit played so weel in the 2nd qtr what the hell happened in the 2nd half?
The 2nd unit as a whole would get eaten up vs Phoenix's 1st unit. Nate should have mixed and matched a bit.... Maybe something like... Sergio/Rudy/Roy/Batum/Aldridge or Sergio/(Rudy or Roy)/ Batum/Aldridge/Przybilla if Shaq is in. I think Batum could guard Stoudemire as good as anyone on our team. That would be interesting and we could run w/ Phoenix w/ that 1st line-up.
It might but WTF, the first unit did not do well, but the mix/match part is the real issue. Batum to me really makes a difference in who he can guard, his energy in filling passing lanes and tipping balls, he is one of those guys whose contribution geos significantly betong the "stats".
Yeah, i would like to see Nate mix the units more than just play two separate units... It should depend on the game and how the players are playing, who is hot and cold, matchups, etc... I totally agree about Batum. He is just one of those players. He just needs to be out on the court, similar to Rudy... But I still am not a fan of playing Rudy and Roy together. I don't think they play off of each other too well, as both have similar games. They both need to get around 30mpg though.
I wonder if Nate exclusively practices with first and second units against one another that the only action the players get when they're mixed with one another is during game time, and they have to feel each other out.
Help me Obiwan Batum, you're my only hope I'm a Batum Believer, but it's just funny how vital he seems to have become.
and you're being a jackass to a regular poster and acting like you set the tone here. Who a poster roots for is about as irrelevant as it gets and we certainly don't need a new thread every time your newbie buddy has a thought. I hardly thought Darizzle's initial comment was anywhere near out of line... thats how newbies learn whats what STOMP
Not how we do it. Game threads are for during the game. Separate threads later to address each and every minutia. With Nate as coach, there are ample puzzlements to consider about his choices after each game.
