    Someday, no doubt they will. I bet the entire universe gets a creative reboot in the 2030's when they go holovision.

    I don't think people would take kindly to them rebooting the whole series.

    I also don't expect to see SW expanded universe stuff (the novels, the comics) introduced as canon in the next films. They'll probably start from scratch.

    Sadly Disney is being run by Alan Horn who is a cheapskate. Doesn't bode well for either franchise.

    Everything gets remade.

    They (Disney) have confirmed that 7, 8 and 9 are all original material, not based on EU.

    And you only need to look at the money they threw at the last batch of Marvel movies to feel good about marquee budgets for marquee projects. Hell, even John Carter got $200mil+

    I think this is good news.....

    Disney did a great job with Marvel's Avengers movie I thought....No reason they couldn't do the same with Star Wars....

    I think the biggest benefit is quite frankly getting Lucas out of the way, let some young directors\writers come in and revitalize it....

    Exactly; get some new blood in there. Disney wants the boys audience, and they will commit to delivering some great boy-friendly material. Plus, they have been good in the past with curating historical artifacts from their "vaults": to me the biggest positive is that someday we might get the original, untouched trilogy on blu-ray. My candle of hope burns bright.
