The reports eat at our insecurities. We assume it's true, because we have feared it's true for a while. The first semi-official (but not really official and questionable) article suggesting what we feared is happening, sets off panic.

What's your sense of CJ's role with the team? Is it thought that he's the eventual starter at 2G or is the fact that he and Lillard would make an undersized, defensively compromised pairing an acknowledged problem?

What I get a kick out of is people using Texas' lenient tax structure as a reason he might go to SA or DAL, but then he's gonna move to the tax hell that is CA to join the Lakers? I mean, pick one specious economic factor and stick with it.

Casey, does the front office's read on LA impact what the team does tonight? Do we draft best player available, are we zeroing in at a certain position or attribute or do you see a high probability of a trade involving the Blazers' pick?

    Casey,

Any take on Phil Jackson as GM of the Knicks?

My gut says CJ McCollum is Portland's starting shooting guard next season. A defensive backcourt of Dame and CJ isn't great, but it's probably time for that rubber to hit the road.

Which, in turn, sets of a massive flood of clicks and comments, generating revenue. I have a feeling the PDX fan base will be trolled like this regularly from here on out.

If they know for sure, then yes, I imagine it would. But that's the thing: I'm not sure that they'll know for sure.

Also, please note that anything complimentary towards Canzano is likely to get you yelled at.

I think his work speaks for itself. I'm always fascinated that people think because a guy is a good coach that it means he'd know what he's doing as a GM. Those two jobs are so dissimilar that being good at one means next to nothing about being good at the other.

I've long thought that reporters embellish Trail Blazers rumors for that reason.

In all honesty, and I mean no offense with this statement, I read Canzano's columns/listen to his show on a very, very rare basis.

Can you get Kevin Cosgrove to be a guest on your next podcast? How about Eric Marentette?

    Casey,

Of the teams without a lottery pick, which team, in your opinion is most likely to trade up into the lottery?
