Makes me wonder if we see the Blazers draft Daniels if that could then point to a likely trade that will be announced later.

That’s possible especially since Toronto likes him evidently. He’s my main target though. Honestly I’d be happy with him sharpe or OG with the 7th pick. It’s gonna take a lot for me to be mad, but maybe they’ll figure out a way.

Despite yesterday, my expectations are still very low...

So this is the draft thread?

Woj/Shams are gonna spoil every pick, dunno why espn allows it, makes the broadcast almost pointless.

I have never understood the "spoilers" argument about the draft.

It's news. These guys break news. I'm not understanding the disconnect here.

Agreed. But I also don't generally watch the draft, just follow along online.

Saw elsewhere, if OKC drafts Chet, new nickname for him and Poku. The Thin Towers.

If people really want to avoid spoilers, they can just watch the broadcast and avoid the web.

Think of buying a scratch lotto ticket and before you scratch it you found out if its a winner or not.
It steals the excitement of the moment.

So don't follow them. That's a pretty easy solution.

Simple solution: Don't follow twitter and watch the draft at the same time.

That's not really all that similar, IMO.

You're waiting to hear who goes where. Woj finds out and tells you. There's the excitement.

So ESPN either wants me to not follow one of their employees on social media or they want me to not watch their broadcast. Seems like there’s an even more simple solution than that.

Ding ding ding! Instant media is so overwhelming many of us forget we can simply unplug for a while.

Maybe I'm weird, but I hate scratching tickets and I'd love to know if it's a winner before I waste time scratching it

the draft broadcast is mostly to talk about all the hardships the players encountered in their lives. few tear jerkers here and there, fancy suits, and commentary about wingspan from Jay Bilas. It's on ABC this year, so I'm guessing they'll ramp up the tears.

I think the context is the moment of the draft. People have draft parties for this event. To read it on your phone sitting at a red light three hours prior can suck.
Unless you guys are referring to tweets minutes before the actual draft callout?

For the record I am with you guys. Just boycott social media. Is very healthy regardless. We all need to fast from social media.
