C'mon guys we need to stick together through this rebuild. The Lindbom pick is looking, as i thought, a massive with a capital M, over reach, though he may still have some potential. Could've had him in the 3rd most likely and taken Akill Thomas or MacIsaac. Kravtsov will be ok i think, he just needed a full year over here in general to get used to the NA game/ lifestyle. He does need to get a good bit stronger but he seems like a good kid who will work hard with guidance. Kuznetsov didn't make it with the Caps until he was 21 i believe so it may take 3 full years out of his draft.
Parts of the rebuild are great. Defenseman and goalies. The forward rebuild is nothing to get that excited about. Lindbom's team I hear is crap. I wouldn't put much into that yet. I'd like to see him come over and play 40-50 games in the AHL where BA can work with him closely. Kravtsov better show a lot in the second half of this season. Otherwise, his value is going to plummet. Right now our best forward prospect by far is Pajuniemi. He's pretty much the only guy not on the big club that is producing at a high level.
Need to load up on forwards in the next few drafts. It's a little early on Lindbom but i just don't get taking him that early when they had a deep goalie pool. I guess if they really had him that high on the board then that's what they were going to do. Everyone else pretty much had him rated in the 100-150 range.
JD better get Gorton in line with drafting all these fucking defenseman and goalies when the system is light on forwards.
