<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Shut up Rok, Saint Baller constantly plugs the Mavs, us Celtic's fans aren't as ridiculous.</div> :HAHAHA: What is your issue. I could care less about Saint Baller, he simply said Howard was a steal and balla thought he was biased when in fact many other non Mavs fans view Howard as a steal.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Well I don't think it's a big deal for a fan of the team to realize a steal. Some Celts fans have said Gomes and I didn't hear you call them out.dunno.gif Double standard against Mavs fans?</div>That's ridiciculous, there's no double standard for Mavs fans. Mavsfan1000 and Saint Balller will pick Mavericks players for everything.

Just like I don't care Celts fan said Gomes because it's true their steals.

But he's right. Howard was a huge steal. Top 8 pick in his class.

I'm not saying he wasn't, but those two are ridiculous. All his favorite players are Mavericks, whatever thread we have he's going to pick Mavs players for everything.

Watch out for Chris Taft out of Pittsburgh. He is going to be a star.

Because this draft was so full of average prospects there are numerous steals littered all over the first round but not as many immediate impacts in the second round as were expected. - Johan Petro - Has already started a handfull of games and was a top 5 pick in mock drafts a few years ago. He's 7'0" and is pretty big with decent speed. At 25th I feel he will be the steal of the draft, he's only 20 and is still learning how to do things but he has all the physical tools to be a nice center. -Salim Stoudamire - Has had some big games off the bench but he has a crazy head that could limit him. With the first pick in the second round you can't blame the Hawks for picking him even though he's not a PG. He will be one of the leagues elite snipers for years to come however I don't feel he has the PG skills to start in the future. He has already been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, hopefully he grows up. - Danny Granger - Being picked 17th in this draft is absurd and I said it from the start. He's a 6'9" 225 pound small forward with a lot of skills who stayed in school all four years. He is going to be a very good rebounder and his footwork and dealing with double teams puts him ahead of other players ahead of him. The guy could be 18/7 type SF and a lot of GM's will be asking themselves why they let him slip to the Pacers.

Crap I went to edit my first post and deleted it [IMG] <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I don't know if i'd go so far as to say that ATL would make the playoffs, but yeah, they definitely should've picked CP.</div>Look at there team with Paul. Chris Paul/Joe Johnson/ Josh Smith/Al Harrington/Zaza PachuliaThey would of had a great chance to make the playoffs in the Southeast division. They already won 7 more games then the entire last season and they still have about 20 games left. paul would have put them over the top and gave them and 8th seed in the playoffs. With Paul on the team Atlanta can do what they do best and thats run the fast break. Tyron Lue is a good point guard but hes a halfcourt guard. Paul would get Atlanta on the run. I am actually going to go out on the run and say Atlanta would have a better record with Paul on the team than the Hornets do with Paul on the team. He is a better fit in Atlanta than Oaklahoma City.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The reason New Orleans did so bad last year is bc of injuries and Baron Davis. BD has one of the worst attitudes in the league. He set a bad example for the rest of the team in NO and he pretty much faked that back injury. Why do you think he immediately started playing again when he went to GSW?</div>Dan Dickau was the man for them. He played better than Davis did. I think the main reason for the Hornets disappointing season was the move to the Western Conference. They were not that good of a team in the east and they move them out west. Im sure that took a huge toll on that team playing in a tougher conference. You can say that for pretty much every team in the east besides maybe Detroit,Miami, and Cleveland. Move any Eastern conference team out West and they will struggle.1. Jamal Maglorie got traded for pennies. He is an all star type player who is a big reason the hornets won 18 games last season. However the Hornets traded him away which you would think would make the team worse. If the Hornets kept Maglorie on the team with Paul it could get dangerous.2. JR Smith fell off big time. Thats even more of a load Chris Paul has to take on. Im sure it was an unexpected load also. Smith played great as a rookie so everyone assumed he would get even better. Thats obviously not the case so Paul has to put more pressure on his shoulders.3. Desmond Mason has been a huge upset. I thought he would flourish as a Hornet and score 19-21 points per game. Im sure Paul felt the same way. However Mason has been a huge disappointment so far this season. He went from averaging 17 a game with Milwaukee to averaging 11 with the Hornets. So again Paul has to take on an even bigger load.4. Pj Brown. All of his numbers are down this season. Im sure Paul expected to have that double double thread every night.Again Brown isnt playing all that great this season. To take on that much of a load as a rookie is pretty amazing. So you have to take all these factors in consideration. Also they dont even have a home arena this season. They are basically playing every game on the road. I bet 1/4 of the fans at Hornets games just show up for something to do because they dont have a pro basketball team. The Hornets dont have an arena of there own which means even more hardship for the Hornets. If anything Chris Paul isnt getting enough credit. There roster is overrated. He isnt just the leader of all rookies he is at the top list of the entire NBA' stats. He is averaging 16 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and over 2 steals per game. His steals and assist numbers are among league best.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Also, Speedy Claxton has been huge for them this year. And they've started buying into Byron Scotts' philosophy, not to mention the outburst of David West. Alot of things can be contributed to the huge turnaround, not just Paul. He deserves alot of credit, but he is being a tad bit overrated right now.</div>Chris Paul made David West better. West plays amazing with playmaking first point guards. When he played on the court the same time as Speedy Claxton last season he showed the same signs he is showing this season. He just needed a playmaking point guard to feed him the ball where he is most comfortable .Claxton is just building off of his play last season. In terms of numbers Claxton actually played better last season.

I agree, CP seems like a better fit in ATL. But i still think it would be tough for ATL to make the playoffs. I'm not saying it's totally out or reach, but it's hard for a team to make that big of a jump. Yes, i know, if the hornets were in the east, they'd be in the playoffs now, but it seems to me that ATL doesn't really have any direction, although Chris Paul could've helped provide some direction for the team. (wow, that was a long sentence).back to topic... the biggest steals were Chris Paul, Danny Granger, Salim Stouamire, and Ryan Gomes.

For the poster 2 up. Jamaal Magloire traded for pennies? You got Mason and a 1st rounder because nobody else would take Magloire for more! Outside of rebounding he does little else and all he does is piss and moan like a child. He cried about being in New Orleans and right now in Milwaukee he keeps talking about how great it would be to play with Chris Bosh. Bottom Line, Magloire is an asshole. And P.J. Brown is 36 years old, he has an excuse for his numbers being down.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>For the poster 2 up.</div>That would be Bobby Hill.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jamal Maglorie got traded for pennies. If the Hornets kept Maglorie on the team with Paul it could get dangerous.</div>He's not a all star player. That one year was a aberration because of injuries. Also, Magloire didn't want to be there, so they traded him for a young player in Mason and a draft pick. If you haven't noticed, a lot of their trades are geared towards cap and young players.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pj Brown. All of his numbers are down this season. And I don't get you saying Paul expected this and that. He's a rookie, and no one had high expectations on the Hornets. If anything, the expectations were on Paul, and not him on others.
