Maybe he's just angling for an endorsement deal with Red Bull

Except everyone knew Jimmer didn't play a lick of D, was going to struggle creating off the dribble for him and his teammates, and wasn't the most athletic player ever...

Of course Jaynes buys into the hype.

I could certainly see Lillard being the BPA at 6 and also be the right fit for PDX.
Lillard and one of the bigs Sully, Zeller or Leonard.

:check:, :check: and :check: I'm shocked that more people don't think this/don't know that that's this guy's rep---and seemingly well-deserved.

Edit: and it's not like this guy is someone from nowhere like Weber State. He was on TV every weekend for 2 years! He was in a national championship game!

    That's impossible

Not when you could have MKG/Barnes falling to #6. At worst, we'll have Drummond there.

Says the guy who has bought into every other player's hype that is expected to go in the Top 12....

So you're saying it's not possible that Lillard is a better player than Drummond right now?

The guys I'm high on are all better prospects than Lillard.

And I like Lillard! just not at #6 or #11.

You used to be all about Beal... and now you're all about TRob.. there are a limited amount of bandwagons you can be on, man.

FWIW, I'd take Lillard over Barnes. I have them both in tier 2, and frankly, I like Lillard's attitude and aggressiveness much more than I like another spot up/one dribble pull up SF in Barnes. It's not like Lillard can't shoot the hell out of the ball, either. Also, I think some of you underestimate his playmaking ability for others.

One will win rings, the other will (not) win scoring titles...

The can't go wrong with the prospects that high in the draft. You can go either way -- Beal or T-Rob or MKG/T-Rob. The line between 'BPA' is faded when you're talking about these prospects. It's all about fit, rook!

It's all about fit? Yet a month ago, you said no to Robinson strictly because of fit.

Interesting tidbit. If you listened closely to Kaleb speak after the Lillard workout he says he went out with Lillard last night for dinner, then later in the interview says he went out with LaMarcus for dinner. Apparently mr franchise player went out to dinner with PA, Neil, Kaleb and Lillard

    Hahahahaha

Casey just said he was waiting for Lillard to come out of the closet. That he was in there with Mike Rice

maybe we should look at some other things:

    DL: 40.9% from 3 - NC: 34.2% from 3
    DL: 51.2% from 2 - NC: 47.3% from 3
    DL: 6'1.75" w/o shoes - NC: 6'0.25" w/o shoes
    DL: 6'7.75" wingspan - NC: 6'2.25" wingspan
DL: 11'3" max reach - NC: 10'5" max reach

Lillard's advanced stats are better than Cole's (though you want to pretend they're roughly equal). He's a better shooter, and he's also bigger, longer, and more athletic. Cole can barely curl his fingers around the rim--Lillard can get up high enough to finish strong.

You can't really compare the two.

Lillard doesn't finish strong, but he can dunk it....

Not a lot of explosion from him IMO, I also question his ability to absorb contact and finish at the rim....

I don't think sharing this "inside" info will get me in trouble. Sent a text to my man a couple minutes ago who was at the workout and has seen every workout at the PF for probably the past 15 years.......

    HCP: "How was Lillard's workout!!??"

"Inside Man": "Holy Shit.... I am sold!" Best workout I've seen since KD!"

My boy wouldn't exaggerate. This kid might be for real! Take it for what it is, but my man was very impressed.
