I have always loved his game, but he's older than dirt and he needs to retire. I would love to bring him in as a coach though.
I can't decide which is more ironic, BGD's post, or the fact that the irony went right over your head?
we could use a little crafty. One of my favorite all time plays was his "feint time out" drive to the basket.
I love Dre's game..39...time to ride off into the sunset..I never got the impression Dre would want to coach at all. Like to see him get a ring..see somebody with a shot pick him up for the last gasp
Dre coached the team better than Sarge. Believe Dre even told Sarge that, in a voice loud enough to be heard clear across the gym, through locked heavy doors, and into the barber shop at the other end of the training facility. Dre has real passion for the game. Dre was known as the floor general while he was a Blazer.
Agree, Dre got a raw deal here in Portland. Not only from Nate and BRoy, but many of the fans I know were bashing Dre. I was thrilled when we signed Dre. He played well for us. We had missed the playoffs 5 of the 6 previous seasons; Dre helped to get us into the playoffs both seasons he was here. We traded him for fatty felton, and missed the playoffs the next two seasons. Dumbest trade ever.
I hate mentioning that trade around my father..... he's still bitter about it. He loved Dre.... probably his favorite player. "Hey Dad. Remember when we traded Dre for Felton?" #!!#@%@!!@!#@!! "Boy dad. Hate to bring back such bad memories....." !!##!@!!! $@$!! $@$!
Did Dre ever break that streak of not getting out of the first round? Would hate for us to be the ones that have to knock him out again.
More reason not to want to play the Spurs in the first round! If we can't get a ring, I want Dre too. And Aldridge for that matter, let him get one before the Spurs dynasty collapses and the Blazers dynasty rises.
I was at that San Antonio game and it was epic! By far one of the best games I've ever been to. And even though that play was for the win, y'all know good and well this is the best play by Andre Miller:
