Re: Dream.9 [results] Jason Miller vs. Jacare ended in a no-contest. Miller kicked Jacare in the head while he was grounded, causing a fight-ending cut.
Re: Dream.9 [results/spoilers] I want to see Joe Warren in the WEC, now. Maybe he can get the next crack at the bantamweight champ, either Torres or Bowles.

Re: Dream.9 [results/spoilers] I just got done watching that shit. Warren FTW!!! What a fucking fight. Joe Warren, mother fuckers! And Sokoudjou with the good win! However, his adrenaline got the best of him and threw some more punches after the refs stopped them. He apologized, though. Warren!
Re: Dream.9 [results/spoilers] I wonder if the extra emphasis from Sok was Apartheid-related? Good work by Warren. Say what you will about Kid being rusty, or the value of top position--Joe came to fight.
There are a couple of reasons I was thinking Sokoudjou could've went on an adrenaline rush. -Jan Nortje kind of laughed off Sok's inside leg kicks and made a face @ Sok. Maybe that rubbed Sok the wrong way. -Jan was holding onto the ropes a lot and wasn't stopped by the refs or warned or anything. He did it every time Sok tried to throw him. -Apartheid-related. Either way, Sok apologized to him. It was off of adrenaline. I don't really mind it. It is nice to see Sok get a good, easy win to build up his confidence. He faces Mousasi in the next round. You know, people say Sok has no ground game--it isn't the best, but he fought off a lot of attempts from Machida before getting locked in that arm-triangle. And Belfort is a wizard on the ground. Sok hasn't had an easy early career. He's been thrown into the fire. I really hope he can turn his career around, he is still very young.
Re: Dream.9 [results/spoilers] Was Kid really rusty, though? He fuckin' nailed Joe with some solid shots, and after each one...Joe just smiled and moved forward. Joe reminded me of Hendo in the fight. He even stalked Kid with his right hand cocked like Hendo does.
17 months off isn't good for any athlete, but maybe he wasn't rusty. He has no excuses. And you're right--Warren has an iron chin. "Itz like 'itting a piece of eye-ren..."
I wonder if Kid took Warren lightly? Most people thought that Joe would be KO'd in the first 5 minutes or so. Still, great fight and exciting win for Joe. I'll be looking for him in the next two weeks and I'll ask him if I can do a mini-interview or something for the site.
So... I want to see Choi/Sokoudjou and Minowaman/Mousasi next round. Choi/Sok would be a good kickboxing match. Mousasi/Minowaman would be a good strategic battle.
I think Sok weighed in at 224 or something like that. I don't think he cut down to 205. Maybe he should be fighting HW?
I think Soko is better off at 205. Even though certain guys like Luis Cane are more difficult opponents for Soko than Jan Nortje, or Sapp. If he was fighting at HW in the UFC guys like Lesnar, Carwin, Mir, Velasquez, Gonzaga, even Kongo with his improved wrestling are a lot more difficult to get onto their backs and TKO. James Irvin fought at HW his first fight (looking still pretty ripped), he weighed at 224. If the HW division still had Tim Sylvia as champ (I think Soko could get Tim down) or Couture (Soko would have the edge standing, but Couture might get Soko to the ground), I would reccommend Soko at HW, and I'm glad Soko got the win, just because over at sherdog everyone pretty much abandons anyone after a couple losses. Even though Soko has lost to solid opponents and is only like 24. Luis Cane is no joke, and Babalu is a smart vet.
