Ya, what the hell did I type there? I was just saying it sucks that they won’t be able to broadcast them with such a late addition. Won’t be able to get a crew and tv truck together that fast. Unless the network knew ahead of time somehow.
I wonder if HCP is right; can't find this game, but maybe it was scheduled too late for the underground to pick it up.
Dude who knows with the PAC 12 Network......they are a mess. Stopped hiring us professionals and started bringing in students to work the games for 1/4 of the price. They might have been able to find 3 drunk frat guys to plug in some cameras to show the game.
Ducks beat a good San Francisco team. I think this is the most athletic team Altman has ever had at Oregon. Must be pleased how well they are doing after losing their experienced, great-shooting PG the day before first game.
great Thursday night NFL game, Herbert vs Mariota into OT; Herbert sneaks in for winning TD and there were 3 or 4 promos for tomorrow night's Pac-12 championship game. Ducks dominating the world
Two weeks to prepare for who? The USC offense is nothing like UW or Colorado. They found out Monday during practice that they would be playing USC. So that is only about 3-4 practices. Good thing USC is in the same situation, except for the travel part.
considering that the Duck defense has had tons of trouble against every offense they've faced, what they really needed to work on was fundamentals like tackling, gap integrity, and zone assignments. Those the areas where they have been failing. If they can improve in those facets of D, that will translate to better D against any offense I'm not real optimistic because the Ducks lost too much talent, experience, and leadership off of last year's team. There's an old axiom about defense: "see a little, see everything; see a lot, see nothing". That meaning that every defensive position has initial assignments under each alignment. The responsibility is to stay with those assignments and not be distracted into indecision by action outside of your assignment. I think that's been the biggest failure of the Duck D...the players are getting way to distracted by decoys, feints, and mis-direction, leaving gaps that result in open running lanes and big open spaces in the passing game. And even when they do react correctly and are in position to make plays, they have been missing way too many tackles if that's not enough, the front-7 has not been generating penetration or pocket pressure. Opposing QB's have been way too comfortable in the pocket I don't believe that all can be corrected in a few extra practices. That's a list of flaws that need a full spring practice season and training camp to fix. Avalos runs a complex defense with multiple sets
Ducks playing pretty well. I think being young and being high level recruits, they hadn't learned how to get up for inferior opponents, but for Trojans they are up. Coverage seems to be pretty well except when they fall down. Slovis has a lot of completions into coverage; hopefully they can intercept him again. Just not sure about Shough.
