This is just sad. He doesn't toe the sideline on that previous play, and none of this happens. I will be shocked if this isn't a season ender....and don't kid yourselves - this hurts!
Damn, some chick just tore it the fuck up on X-Factor. (sorry, I'm happy the Ducks are winning but I needed to change the channel for a little bit after that LMJ injury)
The sinking feeling reminds me of when Droughns broke his leg. I was there and it was just sick...all you really do is worry for the kid and suddenly football doesn't mean all that much. Well, that's just me. The season goes on...injuries heal...players step up...but, you just realize how little the game means when you see kids you care about and admire get hurt.
I was thinking more Onterio Smith. The guy was ripping it up during his junior season and boom.... broke his leg. Done for the season. Duck career over. That's the first thing that came to my mind.
You want to know why I'm not worried Wheels? It's the system. This is a great system. You plug in new players and you keep going. I'm more worried about our passing game than I am about our running game. We still don't have a go-to receiver. Huff made some progress tonight, but our best receiver is a freaking true freshman running back. We still haven't replaced Maehl or Davis.
Guys, I told you Cal's defense was tough....you just wouldn't listen to me. To wit: Tonight's 43 points were the fewest points scored by a Ducks team at Autzen since 2009. Told ya.
1st half certainly was. Glad the Ducks snapped out of it. ......and quit prancin' around like your schtick don't stink.
Just a little after the fact ribbing.... Chip Kelly vs Jeff Tedford 3 Wins - 0 Wins 33.33 ppg - 10.33 ppg 100 total points - 31 total Points
I'd sure hope to be wrong.. but backs of LMJ's caliber are different. There are system backs, and backs that would succeed anywhere. LaMichael is one that would succeed in whatever system he played in. Sytem players keep you where you are in the grand scheme of things and dont let you go back down stream. Players like LMJ are ones that put the team on their back and take you where you want to go. Last night for example would have been a different ball game IMO if LMJ goes down earlier (not even counting morale) The passing game was waaaay out of sync in the 1st half, and we became one dimensional. LMJ put this team on his back last night when everything else couldnt seem to go right. And while I love Kenjon and DeAnthony, and even Carson... not one of those guys are players that can do that (yet at least) As much as I disliked the guy's smuggness and all out douchey-ness, but Cam Newton was a player like that in College as well.
To put it another way, the Bears have played the Ducks really tough 3 out of the last 6 halfs.....and been dominated the other 3. OK...maybe Tedford isn't living in Chip's head. Maybe he just comes over on game-day, steals a couple beers out of the fridge, eats all the salsa, and leaves?
yeah Tedford is the annoying "friend" who comes over muddy shoes all over the carpet. Smelly ass feet up on your coffee table. Has a couple of beers. Tries to rough house with you, but when you have him pinned he fakes being hurt. Clogs your toilet, then after about an hour you finally snap and freak out on him and he leaves
