303 yards, 2TD, and 2Ints... most NFL QBs never have games that good; not bad for a dud.

I wasn't talking about the game today. But, they did lose to the Broncos, so theres that.

Edit: he threw two horrible 4th quarter interceptions in todays game. Case in point. So I am gonna include todays game in his duds.

He has the potential to take that next step, but I think he will be heavily hampered when someone pays him for that potential at 40 million or whatever a year. Right now are the good times for him on that rookie deal where they can pay for talent around him. Look at Mahomes this year. Herbert isn't as good as Mahomes.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Herbert flashing greatness and laying a dud, not the Chargers. I think he's surprisingly been far more consistent in the NFL than at Oregon.

Yes, I would agree Herbert isn't as good as Mahomes who has an MVP and Super Bowl next to him name. Hopefully Herbert's ability to be good or not won't be compared to the likes of Mahomes, Brady, and Rogers, that would be a high bar.

Got it... and back to my point: 300+ yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs (one a tip off the WR) is one hell of a dud game!

Sounds good to me. Let's also add the yardage from poor pass protection and dropped passes to be consistent!

Corvallis ain't that Liberal. I saw my first streaker and first riot on the OSU campus. OSU was one of the founders of OSPIRG. It was the OSU campus where the horse was shot dead on the roof of an OSU building. We had protests against the Vietnam war during the late 60s and early 70s. I had a physics prof. who was an avowed Communist and got fired when he still had time left as a prof. He gave every one of us an 'A' at the end of his last term. Most of us had long hair and facial hair. I looked like prince Valiant with a mustache. My picture hung on Dearborn hall wall for about 20 years after I graduated but was taken down when the Electrical Engineering Department moved to another building.

I never saw police on horseback during the two Civil War games I went to in Eugene.

    OSU is ranked no. 1.
The game between the men of OSU and U of O played for the McSwan cup. My girlfriend was Cathy McSwan and her dad was a prof. in the Engineering college and the coach of OSU's men's soccer team. Nicest family you ever met.

In 66/67 I went to numerous games in Corvallis and they used county mounties on horseback to direct parking traffic and pedestrian traffic.

I seriously think we should change the title of this thread to Ducks and Beavers; that way can include football, basketball, soccer, baseball etc. I tried to get a discussion of Duck basketball started in the NBA thread and that sure didn't work!

Start a NCAA college basketball thread and a few people will read and comment.
I’m not much on college basketball until March so not really me but I know a few in here do watch it.

This isn't the olden days. Corvallis is extremely liberal now. It was extremely liberal when I went there in the 00's.

Kelly leaving Notre Dame for LSU. Some big changes in the college coaching ranks. Now Oklahoma and ND both have openings.

Lol! Didn't your precious Beavs prove they are better then Utah? Oregon (of course) decidedly lost a game to those same Utes yet handled your Beavs more decisively then the score (great cheapshots btw). Injuries and other factors change the dynamics for every team going into a game and as tOSU coach Ryan Day recently stated..."The team that plays best often beats the better team". You are kidding yourself mightily if you don't think the Ducks have a real shot of going to another Rose Bowl. I'd site Vegas who has the Ducks as the same odds they did when the game was in Utah. Go Ducks!
