Men's basketball team winding down it's season with another loss to a mediocre team. Three seven footers. two of them McDonald's All Amerians and the third a five star recruit who is actually much better than either of the others.
Nobody who could take over a game like Pritchard, nobody with the intensity of a Dillon Brooks or the tenacity of a Jordan Bell. Not even a dependable sharpshooter like Dorsey.
Very disappointing two seasons. I wonder if any of the seven footers will be back? Dante will make a try for NBA and the other two probably transfer, Bittle to find a league with less competition and Ware to find a coach who will let him be his unmotivated self.

all-in-all, for the Blazers and the UofO & OSU men's and women's basketball teams it's been a season to forget

Bittle is a huge bust. Wasn’t he a 5 star recruit? Never understood the hype regarding him in high school.

Over the years Oregon basketball has had a ton of highly recruited guys that never amounted to anything. I remember the year they got Malik Hairston, Bryce Taylor and the prized Dunigan. Maarty Leunen was better than any of those guys

Malik was pretty good. I'd say he was the best player on the team. The starting lineup for the Elite 8 team was pretty solid, though no superstars. I believe Dunigan was a different class.

I believe Dante is out of eligibility so he gone. Bittle needs to refine his jumper mechanics as the only road to success for him offensively is outside in... regardless, I expect he'll return. Ware, I expect to go pro or elsewhere but we shall see. To me the Bigs weren't the problem, it was the lack of shooting from the wings.

Anyhoo, hopefully the influx of talent from the next class helps. Can Mookie shoot or just slash?

I guess Bittle found out that competitors in the Pac 12 have a lot more agility, athleticism and strength than kids in southern Oregon.

Ducks Men's basketball finished the regular season with three straight wins, including a last minute victory against Beavers. They just beat WSU (who had won 7 straight) by 5 in the Pac 12 tournament quarterfinals, even though they blew a 20 pt lead. Will Richardson continued to be an absolute zero as a scorer but made a couple good assists. Dante injured his ankle late and may not play against UCLA in the senifinals tomorrow. Too bad, cuz the announcers seemed to believe Oregon could get into the NCAA's if they won tomorrow..

He could come back, but I don't think he will. Why risk injury? I would love to get him in the 2nd round. Excellent shot blocker.

As a sports fan I root for the laundry, but I truly want the best for Dante. Well beyond this season, lets go Peanut Butter!

I’m watching Ducks vs UCLA right now. I can’t help but wonder why in the world that UCLA guard wants hair like that. It’s gotta hurt his game a little. Blocks his vision, extra weight. I don’t understand it.

what annoys me about the Duck basketball team is their perimeter shooting. It's their giant flaw

Oregon, this season, has it's worst team 3ptFG% in the last 23 years. Right now it's 31.9%. That ranks 304th out of 363

Their guards are pretty awful. It seems like losing Stubblefield to DePaul was a huge loss.

Noah Whittington looks like he's spent a lot of time in the weight room. I wonder if it will impact his speed as he was probably the fastest Duck RB

It is kind of a disappointment; the kids fought really hard in all three NIT games, even with their three best players sitting because of injuries. The team was actually more fun to watch without those three, maybe that's why the fans didn't come because the team wasn't really that much fun to watch this year. But even when they were really good and exciting other years, they didn't get sellouts.

    Nobody cares about the NIT.

It sucks for the kids, but like...... it's a consolation prize and wasn't it finals week?
