I think it's a beevur thing. I've known a lot of OSU fans and I'd say about half of them are so embittered about the Ducks' successes, they are more excited about a Duck loss than a beaver win. Firm believers in the misery-loves-company index which worked back in the days when both teams tended to suck in nearly every sport. But the last 20 years or so have seen massive differences in team trajectories and it's driven bitter beevurs insane.

It's definitely a one-way street. I don't care if they lose and I sometimes cheer for them win they win.

But I really don't care to engage with other fanbases. Usually just poke my head in to see what they're saying about a topic, but I never post anything.

Seems unlikely... If they did, that is total loser behavior and should be made fun of.

So much pressure to have the lead for that long at the US Open....and he pulled it off for his first major. I thought he would choke.
    Awesome win,

What's the latest you're hearing on UNC joining the BigTen?

Good point... Didn't sound like he was on the pulse about the situation anyway.

I remember Dwight Jaynes said the BigTen wanted Cal/Stanford over Oregon too. As much as people would tell him it didn't make sense, he was certain of it.

lol I’m 100% certain he is right about the situation.

Oregon got in before Notre Dame, does that mean Oregon was higher on the list than ND?

Was there even a list? Was Texas on the list? Does it matter if Texas was ahead of Oregon? Would UNC want to trade places with Oregon right now? Would you rather be on the list of teams the BigTen wants or the list of the teams in the BigTen?

A lot of folks seemed to indicate Oregon would not be the next domino to fall in regards to BigTen adds. Those folks were incorrect.

I don’t know. Wasn’t Texas and Oklahoma announced to the SEC in 2021? Long before USC and UCLA?

Isn’t that kind of what started the arms race?

And yes there is a list. The networks will pay for certain teams and they won’t pay for others so there is inherently a hierarchy of which teams will bring the most financially.

uh, yeah? I’d assume they’d would want to be in Oregon’s shoes.

I think I said this earlier, maybe not, I don’t really care how Oregon got in the B1G, I’m just glad they got there.

Yes, Texas was announced prior to USC.

100% agree with the last part. Same goes with "the list". Who cares how many schools not in the BigTen are/were ahead of Oregon? It was always about what schools were willing and able to make the move. In my opinion, Oregon was always in a better position than Miami or UNC, regardless of how much more those other schools were desired.
