Anybody have a clip of this whole incident?

Sounds like a messed up situation, considering the fact that Duncan hardly ever gets any T's. I'm not a big fan of Crawford, but I'm not going to jump all over him until I see what actually happened.

I can't stand Crawford or Steve Javy. Both of them put more priority on their own ego and reputation over actually calling a fair game. I didn't see this incident yet, but it just seems like Crawford decided to steal the stage yet again. Hopefully someone can find a clip of it somewhere.

Man, that's pathetic. How does laughing get you a technical? He wasn't complaining, he didn't try to start a fight or anything. NBA refs are getting pretty damn annoying.

Lol, yes, very unfair. Count another Mavs fan who thought this was a bit ridiculous. But hey, we get bad calls on us all the time. Did you even see last year's finals??? It's why Cuban has been trying to work on improving the refereeing. Stern just pushes it all under the rug and everyone just calls Mark crazy...

Well, what's crazier than Duncan, one of the most respected players in the league, getting tossed for laughing??? LAUGHING!!! So ridiculous...

    More news ..

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DALLAS -- The rage rises without compromising the composure of Tim Duncan. This is the coolness of the San Antonio Spurs star, the calculating nature of a mind that rarely acts without considering the consequences. This made the words tumbling out of his mouth Sunday so startling because Duncan isn't one of those stars who throws out empty accusations.

In his own calm, measured way, Duncan was seething over the way official Joey Crawford, with what appeared to be virtually no provocation, tossed him out of Sunday's 91-86 loss to the Mavericks.

"Joey knew exactly what he was doing," Duncan said Sunday. "He came into this game with a personal vendetta against me. It had to be. Because I didn't do anything the entire the game."

Within a 76-second span of the third quarter, Crawford hit Duncan with two technical fouls, both coming while the All-Star was sitting on the bench. Duncan got the second "T" while he laughed and kidded with teammate Robert Horry.

"He's obviously got a personal problem with me," said Duncan, who sustained just the second ejection of his career.

Duncan insisted that the only words he exchanged with Crawford had been after failing to get a call on a shot against Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki. Duncan said that he told the official, "I got fouled on the shot," and had nothing else to say to him until he got ejected.

What's more, Duncan insisted that Crawford became so belligerent with him on the floor that he challenged him to a fight.

"He looked at me and said, 'Do you want to fight? Do you want to fight?' " Duncan said. "If he wants to fight, we can fight. I don't have any problem with him, but we can do it if he wants to. I have no reason why in the middle of a game he would yell at me, 'Do you want to fight?' "</div>

Check out Crawford's explainations, absolute rubbish.

I don't see anything wrong. Crawford should be fired. This is the same guy who tossed Tyrus Thomas for doing absolutely nothing a few weeks ago.

The fact Joey Crawford has a reputation for this type of behavior should be reason enough to kick him out of the officiating ranks. He's trying to make name for himself instead of being a neutral figure on the court. Spurs fans better hope Duncan's public criticism doesn't draw the wrath of Stern and Stu.

The officials really jobbed the Mavericks last year in the Finals, and one might attribute it to Mark Cuban's public bashing of the league officials.

I wonder if Crawford will be assigned to any San Antonio playoff games.

Man, that video shows how ridiculous the call was. Robert Horry was sitting next to Duncan and laughing just as much. And the commentators pointed out that the call is just too difficult to make when you're looking at the game the entire time. There could be stuff that happened before that was missed (kind of reminds me of when Javy slapped Mo-Pete with a tech for slapping VC, but it was just them joking around with each other). It seems pretty obvious that he was looking to nail him for something beforehand.

^ So Crawford wanted to challenge Duncan to a fight. LMAO! I will pay 50 bucks to see that fight

Man i bet if a player challenged a ref to a fight, he would get suspended for threats. Why wont crawford be suspended or fined?

This is crazy, if you can get a techical for that, you can get one for anything. Not to mention that it's TD we're talking about at the guy is the NBA poster boy for sportsmanship.

I think everyone for a while has known the NBA officiating sucks. Too much ego not enough objectivity.
