<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thefranchise3:</div><div class="quote_post">I would love to see Kedrick Brown and Deshawn Stevenson in that. BTW KJ are you sure about the 3 year rule, because there has been a lot of investigating and question periods with Vince Carter If he'd like to join, and hes been in the league longer than three years...</div> I was only going by official talk, not what people heard, esp. when it comes to "Wince Carter"
I'm guessing you havn't seen Anderson dunk? He can jump REAL high His nick-name is birdman And It's not because he likes birds.
DO you guys know how much it usually cost to go to these events? come on, one of you guys must have gone before
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">I was only going by official talk, not what people heard, esp. when it comes to "Wince Carter"</div> People didn't just "hear" that, he said back in November hed like to go, but in a recent interview hes having doubts and he doesn't exactly care about the dunk competition anymore. BTW I wasn't refering just to Vince, I was refering to the fact that I don't think the 3 year rule is in place anymore, the reason being this is Vinces 6th year, so if he was even thinking about going in the dunk contest there couldn't have been a 3 year rule anymore. I'd like the truth, is there a 3 year rule or not?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thefranchise3:</div><div class="quote_post"> I'd like the truth, is there a 3 year rule or not?</div> There probably is, but I think the assumption is if Vince were to want to join, the Commish would gladly let him join.
I have put up countless posts about the contest. The rule is a cover up because the stars don't want to be in the contest, this stops people from asking so much every year. Where did Vince say this? I'm not saying he did not, he very well could have, in any case, so what? If the stars would change their mind the "rule" would be lifted, simple as that.
Something tells me that this years contest will be a real yawner in terms of competition. If Vince and Desmond is not in it, just hand the trophy over to Jason Richardson. I want to see what Lebron has to offer but I don't expect much out of him after I saw last years dunk competition in High School. He got pretty high but it takes originality to compete with Richardson and his dunks were not original.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting the franchise:</div><div class="quote_post">he didnt try</div> Thank you. He looked very disinterested.
Maybe he didnt try but we'll have to see during the dunk comp if he was tryin or not. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting kevinduncan_21:</div><div class="quote_post">At the end... everyone knows who's the best dunker in the NBA</div> Whom would that be? It's fun to watch and it's not they're ruining their knees. Afterall it's just an open lane. Although really great dunkers may want to have gone out with their previous bang eg. Carter or try to get another one. People who've won it, have nothing left to prove, they simply get to be considered as one of the best.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kevinduncan_21:</div><div class="quote_post">At the end... everyone knows who's the best dunker in the NBA</div> I think VC is the best dunker still.....BUT the fact that people are questioning that should be enough of a reason for him to get back and solidify his dominance...
If the person who was the best all-around got all the votes, garnett would have about 3,000,000. People want to see Vince Carter in the All-Star game because he is a good player that is supposedly the best dunker in the L (Not that he shouldnt be there, but he is not the best all around player). Look at the game last year, everything was forced ally-oops and behind the back passes.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kevinduncan_21:</div><div class="quote_post">VC has nothing to prove...he's the lead vote-getter again because he's such a good all-around player</div> :thumbsdow That is not the reason. J-Rich and Mason would give Vince a run for his money and you can;t say nothing about it because Vince has had the chance to remain a dunk champ and has passed. I sure won't give him any credit for that, way to give the fans what they want Vince, with as many groupies as he has you would think he has been in it the last 2 years. I am not sold that Vince would have beat J-Rich the last 2 seasons, he has showed us dunks we have never seen the last 2 years, Vince only gave us something we never seen once. J-Rich gets my nod.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kevinduncan_21:</div><div class="quote_post">VC has nothing to prove...he's the lead vote-getter again because he's such a good all-around player</div> Man, you're gonna get flamed for statements like that...
