Thinking about it now, it looks like a brilliant move. At first I was like, WTF. But it certainly will make those matchups larger going forward. And CJ just put more pressure on himself, and his teammates than before. But that's alright. The Blazers are building something pretty dawg gone good in Rip City. I believe they can handle the pressure. A lot of media , and fans are giving it to them after the Pelican debacle. Chalk it up to a growth experiment. Maybe Durant is pissed, and will make it his mission to try to humiliate the Blazers. But maybe, just maybe, this is awakening something in CJ as well.

 

My fear, though, is he may try to ISO -more-.

This is going to be great white board material for Terry Stotts. First day of training camp Terry just pulls up the podcast where KD is laughing in our face about no chance to win and not to worry about things up top. This is going to be great fuel for the entire season. Any time they get tired or what ever just bring up "Hey KD still thinks we have no chance". haha

Durant and McCollum exchanged shots on Twitter on Wednesday. McCollum called Durant’s decision to go to the Warriors as a free agent in 2016 “weak” and said he betrayed his brothers with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant responded by calling McCollum a snake and cursing his podcast. Lillard said he wished the two would have just expressed their differences over the phone.

“I saw that he went on CJ’s podcast and they went back and forth. It sounded like they were joking, so I didn’t think much of it. But when I saw that they went on Twitter, I was like, ‘All right, they have each other’s phone number. It doesn’t have to go on Twitter. Call each other, man, and get it off y’all chest.

“It ain’t got to be on Twitter, because everyone is going to make a big thing about it and try to pit them against each other. People love drama. It doesn’t have to be all that.”

Dame is way more mature than his years. I think he's going to make an excellent head coach when his playing days are done.

 

Dame is one of those guys who I think will be excellent at whatever he decides to do with himself. Work Ethic, Personality, respectful, and maybe the most important thing is unlike most professional athletes who pretend to care because they have to, Dame seems to legitimately care about other people.

 

He's not wrong. But I bet CJ has had more of downloads of his podcast in the past 48 hours than he has combined to this point. It really couldn't have worked out better for him. The last thing he wants to do is resolve it over the phone.

I saw that interview. Dame is an adult swimming in a sea of perpetual adolescence.

I also liked when she basically asked him to take sides, LOL. He laughed as was like, paraphrasing, I'm going to have to side with my teammate (duh).

 

So like we thought a bunch of nothing. Anyone that had listened to the first part of the podcast would know about CJ ribbing KD about falling for all the trolls on twitter and having to respond to everything.
