<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GatorsowntheNCAA:</div><div class="quote_post">Who would you put over him? Yao and/or Amare?</div> I think howards ranking is deserving. I would not rank Amare above Howard at the center position. Dwight is a TRUE CENTER, Amare is not.

Also Dwight isn't the best rebounder in the league, at the very least he needs to learn how to box out effectively to be considered a great one.</div> ?? i would think that the league leader for rebounds is considered the best rebounder in the league. maybe i'm just retarded or something, but it seems like common sense to me. if he isn't the best at snatching boards, who is?

He is a good one but he isn't the best. There are people that excell at rebounding compared to him because they know positioning, know how to box out, etx. Dwight just uses that pure athleticism to get those boards, while isn't a bad thing mind you . If he honed his positioning and learned to box out effeciently he would deserver the title of THE best rebounder in the league now.

Well KG led the league in rpg, but Dwight finished with the most total rebounds. You could make an argument for either. I think Dwight has been working on his rebounding fundamentals a little more and hopefully he can boost his rebound totals now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting michiganave17:</div><div class="quote_post">Riley is gonna make a move for Howard when his contract is up. Great kid. the only true center besides shaq in the league. If your staff is smart he'll be center and darko will be forward.</div> How is Riley going to make a move for Howard? The Heat are capped out with Shaq, Wade, and Walker. The Magic can match any offer for him and pay him the most, because he will be a RESTRICTED FREE AGENT.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Dwight is not better than Yao. Yet.</div> I hate posts like this. Please explain why Yao is better. Basically all the posts saying that Dwight isn't #2 just said someone is better without giving any reasons.

Yao is a better shooter, better in the post, and a better passer. Their defense is about the same, though Dwights defense is overrated.
I'd take Dwight over Yao anyday of the week. He is a better defender, is bigger, and is more aggressive. Dwight to LA in 2008? haha. Pipe Dream.
Dwight is a Beast, Yao is just soft and overhyped because he so big. with that said I think they are both pretty even right now but in 1-2 years Dwight will be far better. I would take Dwight over Yao any day, Yao Slows his team down were Dwight Can run or can be effective in the half court. There is no way that Yao is better in the post than Dwight is, The only problem Dwight has in the post is passing out of double teams but he was even doing that better toward the end of the season. I think they got Dwight right where he belongs.
