And that's not me at all. I watch for the excitement and entertainment. The alley-oops and dunks. The flashy passes. The hard picks and in-your-face dunks.

The Spurs bore me to tears. I simply can't watch them. If the Blazers ever play that way I'll probably just stop watching them until a new coach comes along.

Clyde and Co. never won a title, but I had years of fun rooting them on.

Watching Sabas was a special treat, but no title, no big deal. Had lots of fun.

But that's why I like KP. He likes uptempo games, was a PG himself, and goes after high-flying exciting athletes for his team.

And that's why I don't think this team will be Nate's team much longer, unless he accepts that this team is built by KP to run.

The Bayless experiment is what, 6 games old. None of our point guards are doing all that great. They are have pretty limited games at this point. Blake = Shooting, Sergio = Fast breaks and passing, Bayless = Defense and attacking the rim. As of right now, I would say the Blazers are in dire need of the defense more then anything else. Isn't anyone else sick to fucking death of teams shooting +60% in the first quarter of every fucking game? It has been happening for the last 7 to 10 games and was bound to bite the team in the ass at some point. My belief is that Blake's pitiful defense is a huge part of this problem and if Bayless starts we may well see this turn around.

Well, we don't have a choice right now. We need both Sergio and Jerryd to step up their games big time to replace the losses of Blake and Rudy.
Sergio has to start becoming a threat offensively, and make a jumper at some point.... as well as Jerryd. We're not going to win any games if they combine for these pathetic 1-16 efforts.

Chris Paul has passing skills I've seen the likes of about twice a decade. Sergio Rodriguez has the terrible jumpshot I've seen the likes of about twice a decade. We've seen Sergio before and his name was Omar Cook.

Sebastian Telfair, Shaun Livingston. Sergio Rodriguez has great passing skills, but hardly twice-a-decade skills.

Livingston was unique because the dude is like 6'8(?) which gives him an advantage when passing. Telfair had good instincts, but often times he would make stupid turnovers. Sergio just really isn't that great. He's always been good at driving and kicking, but teams are taking that away by sagging off him and forcing him to shoot. He's too one dimensional.

He also had very impressive passing skills. That's why he was (undeservedly, of course) compared to Magic Johnson...size plus flashy passing. And he might have been special had he not been hurt.

My point was simply that we've seen a number of prospects with impressive passing skills, so it's not like Rodriguez is a prodigy. Outside of Chris Paul, they haven't had enough other aspects to their game to be good players (or got hurt).

I wasn't really trying to disprove your point, I was merely commenting on it.

There is only one thing that makes Dwight crankier than the Blazers losing - the Blazers winning!
